I love coming to stay at The Sands in Torquay. It is in a beautiful location at the quieter end where you can enjoy nature and easy access to a beautiful beach. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious but calming and I love the Eleven brand products that they provide. I always receive excellent service from all staff who are professional and friendly. It’s really convenient to have restaurants and cafes as part of the resort. The outlook to the golf course is beautiful. I’m already planning to book my next trip here.

Each year a group of retired work colleagues get together for a Christmas lunch. The events Manager, Kaylah, is fabulous to work with. She is very efficient and works to ensure all is perfect. She understands what we need and Kayla works at making sure that the day goes smoothly . She organized our lunch with a Christmas theme. We had our own room with bar service. Round Tables were beautifully set with Xmas decorations and crackers. Staff were very amenable and meals were great. A great place for a group gathering!

The good: friendly and welcoming staff, just minutes from town centre, walking distance to Whites Beach, have dog friendly rooms, good facilities and golf course. The not so good: room was a bit dated and not as clean as one would expect. If you’re near the security door, it’s quite noisy with people going in and out. Small garden area for the dog wasn’t cleaned up prior to our arrival. Dog owner should’ve cleaned up but would also expect cleaning staff to double check this.

If I could give 10 stars I would. We had a one bedroom apartment. It was huge. You would pay a fortune more for the same in the city. And the morning coffee near reception was very very nice too. The first room snack bar I have ever had that was free!!! Twix for bedtime snack and milky bar for breakfast 🤣🤣🤣 The entrance lawn pretty much sums up the whole resort 🤩

We spent 6 nights at The Sands in a twin accessible room, which we had wanted. We booked on the day we went and Robyn was fantastic in sorting us out so last minute. All of the reception/booking staff are great. There is an onsite restaurant/cafe/bar. We had dinner there every night. All of the meals were great, the drinks great. Reasonably priced for a hotel. All day dining. Huge shout out to the restaurant staff who were so amazing, including often under pressure. Thank you to the chefs who were very flexible, which you don't always get with restaurants. Dietary requirements are catered for. The room was clean, modern and serviced fully daily if you want that. It has a huge TV and mini bar fridge. Beds super comfy. Very quiet hotel, we didn't hear any noise. Free parking on site. I highly recommend The Sands, we hope to return next year
