The Lower Terrace & Lager Bar is a relaxed, outdoor space with unobstucted views of the historic Cascade Brewery. With direct access to the Lager bar, it offers attentive and efficient service, direct to your party. Please note, as an open-air venue, its availability is weather-dependent.
The Lounge
Nestled within the heart of the Brewery Bar, our cozy function space provides an inviting, semi-private setting perfect for any gathering. Comfortably accommodating up to 40 guests seated or 60 standing, it offers an intimate atmosphere with access to our pool table for added entertainment. For larger events, the adjoining Courtyard can also be hired, allowing an additional 60 guests.
The Courtyard
The Courtyard is a relaxed, outdoor space with stunning views overlooking the historic Cascade Brewery. With direct access to the main bar, it offers a seamless connection between your event and the lively atmosphere of Cascade Brewery Bar. Available as an exclusive addition to The Lounge hire, this space is perfect for enhancing your gathering. Please note, as an open-air venue, its availability is weather-dependent.
Reflection Ponds
Tucked away at the top of the gardens, this charming ceremony space offers an intimate setting surrounded by natural beauty. With two serene reflection ponds, the space features a floating pier where couples can exchange vows against a lush backdrop of greenery and the historic brewery facade. The setup includes comfortable seating for guests and a signing table. Recommended for 12 seated with up to an additional 20 standing.

We had a great time at Cascade Brewery Bar. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with lovely heritage buildings and a relaxing garden atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to sit back, enjoy a drink, and soak in the surroundings. There was a good selection of beers and ginger beer was our favourite. The staff were friendly, and everything arrived quickly even though it was quite busy. The whole place has a really nice vibe, and it’s easy to see why it’s such a popular stop in Hobart. We’d definitely recommend stopping by, whether it’s for lunch, drinks, or just to enjoy the atmosphere.

Love this place. We went twice when recently on holidays in Tassie. First time just drinks at the lounge near big fireplace. Second time for dinner and drinks. Got the beef brisket and was the best feed I had in Tasmania in 2 weeks. The coffee stout was spectacular on tap. Lovely atmosphere.

Every meal was amazing. I had the pork belly bits and sourdough bread and friends had the mussels and cauliflower Parma. Best pork belly I’ve ever tasted. Drinks were great too. Especially the vodka lemon squash (in can). Friendly service. Beautiful garden. Thanks. Will return when in Hobart.

We loved the tour! A last minute booking, but thoroughly enjoyed... unfortunately we didn't get to see the bottling in action at the time of the tour, but otherwise a great experience and a tasting paddle afterwards to top off the afternoon! Our tour guide Ed was fantastic, we had a big group too, but he managed to keep us all entertained and definitely a wealth of knowledge! Super friendly, professional and enthusiastic 10 /10. Highly rate the grazing board platter for two!

Can’t rate this place high enough! Great friendly service, beautiful surroundings and next level food. Oh also beer, delicious Tasmanian beer and spirits too. We had the beer tasting paddle as we did the brewery tour, then had the sticky pork belly bites and Mac and cheese croquettes. Generous serves and top shelf flavors we thoroughly enjoyed our food and time at Cascade Brewery Bar. Highly recommend going!
