📍 33Grill – Bar & Dining, Rooty Hill Located on Level 1 inside the Novotel. 🅿️ Parking: Parking is very convenient, with a large parking complex at Rooty Hill HQ. Just keep in mind that if you’re visiting in the evening, it can get quite busy and finding a spot may take a little longer. ⭐ Customer Service: 3/10 We had a 6:00 pm reservation for 10 adults and 3 children. Unfortunately, our experience got off to a disappointing start. No one greeted us at the entrance, and I had to approach the staff myself to ask to be seated. Once we were at our table, no one offered drinks, explained how the evening would work, or checked in with us. We booked the 3-course set menu for my mum’s birthday celebration. Leading up to the event, I had to contact the restaurant multiple times to confirm the booking, and responses were consistently slow. Given the occasion, I expected a much smoother experience. 🎂 If you’re planning a birthday celebration or special event, I personally wouldn’t recommend this venue based on my experience. 🍽️ Food: 1/10 The food was the biggest disappointment of the night. We had alternating dishes served, and several guests received steaks that were extremely undercooked, despite expectations for a standard service. They didn’t even ask how we wanted the steak. (See the photos below.) Would I order the set menu again? Definitely not. Would I return to this restaurant? No. ⭐ Overall Experience: 2/10 Sadly, this was a very disappointing dining experience, especially for such an important family celebration. I’ll start by saying the food was great. However, the service was the worst I have had for a $250 meal for 2 that included wine and entree. First, only one entree came out about tree minutes straight after ordering (way too fast). After waiting for another 15 to 20 minutes my main came with my entree but not my wife’s main. After another 10 minutes my wife’s main arrives minus her salad and side dish. After finishing half her meal her salad and sides arrived. For this amount of money you expected a nice elegant atmosphere to enjoy your meal and relax, instead I felt stressed, confused as to what was going on, and completely killed the mood feeling fleeced. I have had way better service and atmosphere at cheap country pubs. We were told it was a staffing and system issue but a good excuse is no reason for poor performance. If the excuse offered was the case - close the door and don’t take people’s money.

We had their food as room service and we were very happy with everything. The steak was cooked perfectly, the pasta was full of meat and flavour and the garlic bread was really delicious. They were very quick as well.

Early dinner here before the show and it’s lovely to relax have a drink and a lovely meal which is presented well, fresh and served with a smile. The garlic bread was too bready otherwise everything else was just right: good value for $. Just wish their wine list by the glass was available and that would have made it perfect.
