Decent pub. Came for lunch. Food came out mega fast and was tasty. Jugs of soft drink are generous sized. Steak cooked as ordered, shoestring fries were generous. Loved that you can order with QR codes. Plenty of parking. Little things around the edges could be been better: their steak knives are so blunt they couldn’t carve butter. Glasses were dirty. My partner ordered an extra serve of gravy and was told they got a bigger pot (it was the same size as my single serve pot).

Great variety of different locations within the venue, food flavour, size and value for money was to standard for lunch as well. Parking directly out the front, bar staff could be more observant for those paying their wages opposed to their own phones giving them nothing but a distraction for why they applied for the job - tighten up on a no mobile phone policy.

When you advertise a meal to be served with salad, that's what a person expects. Coleslaw is Coleslaw not salad. Especially after being a local and expecting the beautiful salad you used to do. Very disappointing. Won't be coming back now, this was cheap and nasty

Went to a function here recently and the food was outstanding! So went back for some lunch with friends and again it did not disappoint. Friendly staff and delicious food. Perfect spot to sit in the sun and enjoy some drinks with friends. The kids playground is also perfect to keep them occupied!

Let's face it. The prices are high at the Forest Hotel, regarding the poor quality pub food on offer. It's been pretty ordinary since the hotel was rebuilt, actually. It's common knowledge amongst the locals and the poor food reviews are there for a good reason. The quality of food for the price is very ordinary. To be blunt, my wife is a far better cook. Would you like her to come up there and give a free lesson ? She could jazz up the menu at the same time. So what's the great mystery here ? Why is a simple problem like food quality not corrected, after all the poor reviews ? Well lets just say that it's all about money from a level higher up, that does not really care about the customers. They only look at the bottom line. Would that be fair to say ? As most family owned businesses, would do a far better job, than what the Forest Hotel is offering.
