Had an amazing time. Staff were easy going and relaxed, beer was reasonably priced. Atmosphere was vibrant and people were friendly. Played a few games of pool and everyone around the table was generally pleasant. Had a slight issue with food but managers fixed it immediately. Would recommend!!!
My English friend Pete and I went to KX Hotel last night for a drink and a steak, like we have been for over 20 years. The last few times the same bouncer at the door has asked us for ID. Mind you it's always 6 pm, and we are always sober when we arrive, and we are (let's say) at least 50 years old. My friend has always made a point of refusing to show his ID. And he has a point because it is bordering on being petty and pointless. Last night however, my friend leaned in a little harder than before and rightly asked, "mate, are you serious?" The bouncer refused my friend entry. My friend lost his shit and gave the bouncer a right telling off before I dragged him off. It was literally the funniest bollocking I have witnessed in a long time. I was laughing about it all night. No doubt, you are within your rights, and the law demands that patrons always show their ID when asked, and it's your policy, etc and blah and blah. Anyway, I'm actually not here to complain. In fact, I've left you a 5-star review. My friend and I escaped yet another dreary night on your balcony wondering where all the people are and why "this place ain't what it used to be". We ended up having a fantastic dinner at Chester White, and then some excellent cocktails at Jangling Jacks. So, thanks for giving us an unforgettable night, and keep up the great work, KX Hotel!
Best burger in Sydney and we’ve tried a few of them! Delicious! Thanks!
Went to this spot for some classic fish and chips, left with a surprise souvenir: food poisoning. The fish was so dodgy it probably had its own passport. A few hours later, I was doing the salsa in my bathroom, and not the fun kind. If you’re looking for a thrilling experience that combines seafood and stomach gymnastics, this is your place. Otherwise, maybe stick to the drinks. At least the water seemed safe.
It's a beautiful and well-known place, and friends often come here during the weekend. I attended some shows from the Sydney Fringe Festival, and they were very enjoyable. The atmosphere at Kings Cross Hotel is cozy and welcoming, making you feel right at home. I highly recommend visiting, especially during events and performances.
