The Grand Ballroom is the perfect space to hold meetings and events for up to 150 guests. The space is inspired by French architecture with wall mounted mirrors and chandeliers. The stone washed windows and exceptional lighting allows for the room to ensure that there is an exceptional vibe during events. Whether it is a strategic meeting or business planning, delegates are immediately inspired when they enter the room.
As a blank canvas, the Grand Ballroom is a great space to host motivational talks, yoga retreats as well as classical or cultural events.
Gazelles Cafe offers an intimate space for 10 people to hold a boardroom meeting, or can be used as a planners office or registration hub. The Cafe has a licensed bar as well as two lounge areas for private meetings or breakout sessions.

It’s a nice hotel with reasonable prices also staff were super friendly. Michelle, who helped us with check-in, and the lady at the breakfast area were especially nice!! thanks to them, we left with a really good impression of the hotel. The location couldn’t be better, and even though the building isn’t new, it’s charming, clean, and quiet. Highly recommended!

My husband and I have been coming here since 2020 and we love staying at the palais, it’s super central, the service has always been great and we love going down to get a drink at the bar and hang out in the lounge areas, the spacious rooms and beautiful view of you get the right room! If I had one thing to pick on I’d say… we have stayed at least 10 times and there’s never any acknowledgment of our loyalty which obviously isn’t NECESSARY because we keep coming but it would be a really nice touch to be given a complimentary drink or an upgrade. I think it’s small gestures like that that are the marks of great hospitality. I do recommend you stay here as it’s lovely!

Very close to blue mountain so that's good. Lighting in the room is really dim so overall it feels uncomfortable. Place is old, room structure isn't squared (not easy to walk around especially with opened suitcases). Floor carpet colour and cleanliness is questioned so might not want to visit again. If lighting is improved it would be a lot better though. In the morning, the lobby feels nice and cozy - because you have natural lights. Breakfast is continental, no hot food, just bread/cereal but okay.

My wife and I just stayed one night on a trip from Sydney. We were impressed with the cleanliness and the olde world feel. We were greeted by a very friendly Michelle who made sure our room was ready when we arrived. A great location and the breakfast was perfectly adequate. Overall a great experience.

The hotel is stunning, the room is clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and smiling. We only had one problem: the breakfast was very simple, unfortunately below standard, with minimal choice. In such a wonderful and impressive hotel, the breakfast should have a wide choice.

Our fabulous Gazelles restaurant is situated on the lower ground floor, where the original dining room was also located over 75 years ago and seats up to 150 people. When the dining room underwent renovations in 1997, it’s original designs were taken into consideration and it was restored to its former glory. The space retains the elegant ambience and even the dining chairs were specifically designed and built based on photos of the original chairs. No expense was spared to ensure that a dining experience in Gazelles is relaxing and satisfying. It’s not all just about Katoomba accommodation at The Palais, we go above and beyond to provide a full experience!
