Located at 6 Macquarie Street, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia đŠđș This was my first time visiting and it was so worth it. We had High Tea at the restaurant (Strangers Restaurant). This was definitely delicious đ but I found it to be quite expensive for what you get. $70 was what we paid and the scones I donât believe were freshly baked. The rest was wonderful. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. We were also able to tour the lower and upper house. Our guides were so kind to give our group a personal tour of both places, while explaining how each worked and contributing some fascinating narratives. The paintings đŒïž throughout the building are so beautiful and was lovely to see them. Thereâs several tours you can participate in and I would definitely recommend a visit. Itâs a beautiful historic building where New South Wales laws are written and decided. It houses the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council and our state finances are controlled here. The tours are also FREE. You have to book though. You can actually watch the proceedings of parliament on a sitting day. To get into the building, you have to go through a bit of security and to get into the upper and lower house, you have to check your bags. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Highly recommend. It's a historic government building where laws of the state of New South Wales are enacted by elected members. They control state finances and discuss matters of importance to the state. There's a Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council housed here. Members of the public can visit by joining a public tour which is offered on Mondays. There's a lovely restaurant on the premises. The facade consists of a 2 storey Georgian building, the oldest public building in NSW.

There is side tour for NSW Parliament every Mon - Fri. But on sitting day (meeting form of the members), there isn't one. But you can watch sideways on their sitting day but beware! There isn't glass seperating us with them. So we have to be silent. No photos or drinks in there.

An excellent FREE tour. The guides are really immersive and take time to explain the history and how the parliament operates. Great on site cafe also.

The guides did amazing!! They will even know by heart the rep. for your electorate. Also, the art exhibitions made it worth to visit.
