My stay at Pier One Sydney Harbour was a thoroughly enjoyable experience at this unique waterfront property. The room was absolutely lovely—beautifully designed and perfectly comfortable. What particularly impressed me was the room service, which was not only quite nice but also reasonably priced compared to other properties of this caliber. It's refreshing to find quality in-room dining that doesn't come with the usual inflated hotel premiums. The staff throughout the property were exceptionally friendly, with a warm and welcoming demeanor that made even our brief one-night stay feel special. The turn down service each evening was a thoughtful touch that demonstrated their attention to detail. The location is truly spectacular—Pier One is notorious for offering some of the best sunsets in Sydney, and the views did not disappoint. The property's historic maritime charm combined with this stunning harbourside setting makes it truly distinctive among Sydney hotels. Pier One offers excellent value alongside genuine hospitality and breathtaking sunset views. For those seeking a characterful Sydney stay with attentive, friendly service, this is a wonderful choice. My only regret is that we had just one night—would happily return for a longer visit.

Our 2nd visit in as many months, this time for business. Still my favourite Sydney Hotel due to location, cleanliness, professionalism, vibe and now I can add something else that delighted us ... We drove into the city in my EV and we forgot something important and had to return to base, collect the gear and drive back. The car was charged to about 40% when handed over to the valet and the next day I received a notification that my car was fully charged. Some wonderful team member plugged it in and charged it. No cost, just courtesy. I love that level of service. The hotel offers a level walk to Circular Quay and is located in a rare quiet nook beside the Harbour Bridge. Our room faced the water and it seemed a world away from the major city at the doorstep. Excellent restaurants are nearby as well as the best landmarks. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous few days at Pier 1 Sydney. We arrived by bike but that was no problem- they were taken care of in a locker room. Staff were always super friendly & very prompt with requests. The breakfast was absolutely amazing with a huge range of food choices for everyone & fresh produce was very fresh. I highly recommend this hotel with its beautiful heritage charm & location under the bridge is awesome!

Pier One sits in an unbeatable spot right on the harbour, with a stunning Opera House view that genuinely elevates the stay. The hotel has real charm and thoughtful design throughout—rooms and public spaces feel warm, stylish, and connected to the heritage of the building. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere from check‑in to checkout. Breakfast is very good, with fresh options and a relaxed setting. Wi‑Fi is fast and reliable, which made planning our days easy. The rooms do show their age a little, and the air‑conditioning struggled to cool the space properly during warmer hours. Still, the overall comfort and design make the stay enjoyable. If you value location, views, and great service, Pier One delivers a memorable Sydney experience.

Super old building, so that comes with creaky floors, a leaky ceiling, and exposed beams (which I kind of like). The elevators are super slow. Each room is supposed to come with an umbrella, but ours didn’t have one. At least the housekeeper was able to find one because they had run out at the front desk. They don’t have nightstands, but instead have thin shelves jutting out just above bed level, which is great if you enjoy smashing your elbow into metal. The shower has a clear glass wall that opens up into the living area, which can be covered by an opaque barn door. It’s rather odd because whoever’s in the bedroom while you’re taking a shower can choose whether or not they want to watch. There were two of us staying in the room and they gave us a welcome gift of one cupcake. Generally, I’ve found that Autograph Collection hotels are a tad more generous for Ambassador level members. Location is great, right by the Sydney Harbour Bridge. And the views off our balcony over the water were very nice. I think it would be a great place to host an event.
