Nice, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the premium queen room so it had been updated. Our aircon didn't work, and when I spoke to the housekeeper she had the matinence man there in 10 minutes. He then said he couldn't fix it and within 20 minutes reception phoned and moved us to another room, with aircon. All staff members were welcoming and friendly. The buffet breakfast was brilliant and kept us going for the day. Walking distance to the Harbour, shopping and food. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Rydges Darling Square Apartments and overall had a good experience, though a few things could improve. The good (and genuinely great): · Location is absolutely excellent – walking distance to Darling Harbour, train station, plus right in Darling Square near ICC, Chinatown, and endless dining options. · Nightly fireworks at Darling Harbour are a not‑to‑be‑missed event. Being able to walk there with a toddler and then quickly return to the apartment was fantastic. · Shower water pressure is excellent – strong, hot, and consistent. · Early check‑in – Our flight landed early in the morning. They allowed us to check in early for only a small charge. With a sleeping toddler, multiple luggage, and a stroller, this was a lifesaver. What would make this a 6‑star stay: adding a washing machine‑dryer combo in the room. For families, that would be an absolute game‑changer. The downsides (especially for families): 1. No proper drop‑off point – and we arrived in pouring rain. We took a taxi from the airport. There's no dedicated drop‑off zone out the front. When we arrived, it was raining heavily. The taxi had to stop on the corner. We had multiple suitcases, a stroller, and a sleeping toddler. We had to unload everything in the rain and push the stroller and luggage up a slope to reach the front entrance. Our toddler woke up crying. Be prepared for this if arriving in wet weather with kids. 2. Baby cot comes with no mattress The cot provided had a hard base with just a thin sheet – no mattress at all. We asked reception for an extra blanket and folded that up as a makeshift mattress. It worked okay, but it's not ideal for a baby's comfort or safe sleep. Management should provide a proper thin mattress with their cots, or warn parents in advance. 3. Housekeeping missed vacuuming – but fixed after we raised it. Our toddler dropped a few crumbs on the carpet one evening. We assumed housekeeping would vacuum the next day. But when we returned to the room the following night, the crumbs were still there. That said, after we mentioned it to reception, they did vacuum properly for the rest of our stay. So credit for fixing it, but it shouldn't have been missed in the first place. 4. Chargeable items in the fridge and on the counter – right next to dozens of supermarkets. They left drinks and snacks that are chargeable if consumed. The apartment is within a few minute walk of multiple supermarkets (Woolworths, Coles, Asian grocers, etc.). We could have bought the same items for half the price. It felt like a low‑key trap, and we had to be careful not to accidentally touch the paid items. For such a well‑located apartment, just leave the fridge empty. Bottom line: The apartment itself – location, water pressure, space, and proximity to Darling Harbour's nightly fireworks – was great. The early check‑in (for a small fee) was a huge help. But the arrival logistics (especially in rain), the bare cot, the initial missed vacuuming (though eventually fixed), and the unnecessary minibar items in a supermarket‑dense area made it less family‑friendly. Fix those things, and add a washer‑dryer? That would be a genuine 6 stars. For now, a solid but slightly flawed stay – still recommended with caveats.

Spacious room, comfy beds. Location great, close to light rail, train station and Chinatown. It was nice having a balcony. Kitchen was not that well equipped, we requested a toaster as the room didn't come with one and was told there weren't any spare as they don't have enough for every room which was really annoying to make breakfast. Overall it did the job, and wasn't badly priced.

Staff were amazing the whole stay and super accomodating!!!Rooms where clean and well maintained and super comfy beds. The bathrooms were modern and very roomy. Only downside is no exhaust in the bathroom but other than that everything was perfect.

My parents are currently staying at this hotel for a 30-day stay during our home renovation, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing. They still have another 3 weeks to go, but they already want to leave early because they do not feel welcomed here. We requested daily touch-up cleaning (making the bed, replacing towels, replenishing amenities, and emptying rubbish) — a basic and standard service for any 4-star hotel. However, this has not been provided, and the manager, Ashleigh, has been very harsh and unaccommodating about this simple request. I have left this review hoping that the actual hotel owner reads it, because Ashleigh behaves as if she is the owner and is trying to operate the hotel outside the standard scope of a 4-star property. The current level of service is unacceptable and well below industry expectations. While we agreed to weekly deep cleaning, daily light servicing is essential, especially for long-stay guests. Instead of helping, the manager’s attitude has made my parents feel uncomfortable and undervalued as guests. Compared to previous years when Radisson managed this property, the standard has clearly dropped. My parents have stayed here before and were comfortable, but this time the lack of service and poor management has caused unnecessary stress during their renovation period. I genuinely hope the owner reviews the situation and ensures the property returns to true 4-star standards. At the moment, the experience is closer to a 3-star level. Very disappointing overall.
