The room was luxe and really comfy! Big closet, nice bathroom vibes. The beds had wheels so I could push two together. The carpet had a lotta dust tho. Other than that the location was safe and close to the mall. Staff greeted me every day and were always at the entrance so I felt safe. Everyone was friendly and got my luggage to the room really fast at checkin. Daily cleaning was good. For sure gonna stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay as a family of four. The room was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our needs, giving us enough space to relax after busy days. The hotel itself was well maintained, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The location was excellent, making it easy to get around and access nearby attractions, dining options, and transport, which was especially convenient when travelling with kids. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and great value for money. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to other families.
While this hotel prides itself on being family friendly, DON’T ever pay for executive rooms with access to the lounge. Memories of a relaxing drink at the end of the day are just that! Now you have a baby screaming its head off for 15 minutes while parents do nothing to calm the distressed baby down and just leave it in a high chair, children running around and playing, and a ridiculous number of dirty hands in the food , picking up items and then putting back. Yuk!! I understand these are actually parental issues but please allow the children in if you must but not during the evening cocktail hour. The lounge hours are bizarre with afternoon tea at 2pm and evening canapés and drinks from 5-6:30pm. Ridiculously early for business people. I won’t even mention how unpleasant the small pool is with children doing” bombs” and soaking everyone whether they want to get wet or not. Continuing the lift saga, only 2 elevators are functioning and after waiting a considerable time the lifts were usually full… people would ride up as they knew if they were on the lower floors they would be able to enter a full lift. At times staff work the lifts manually which means the call buttons are disabled and you just wait, and wait, and wait…, The positive… the housekeeping staff were pleasant and did a great job. Would I stay again…. A big NO! There are other lovely hotels who cater for business people and adults who wish to be treated with respect
I do small trips to Sydney with my granddaughter twice a year and this is the 4th Accor hotel we’ve tried. The Swissotel was perfect, the room was spotlessly clean and we got a little upgrade to a Cnr room. The pool was heated so we could enjoy that given the weather was not as warm as expected. The staff were extremely helpful, special shout out to the lovely Chinese gentleman who took us thru the staff lifts when the customer lifts were a bit slow. The buffet breakfast was way above the standard in the other hotels and was cheaper. Coffee was delightfully good. The location is brilliant with everything you could want within a short walk. Kudos to all the staff and management. This will be our hotel of choice going forward.
Firstly, I am a member and frequent guest at Accor hotels, generally their premium brands like Pullman and in this case, Swissotel. I cannot quite believe the difference from other stays, particularly when I consider the price paid. The stay, for 2 rooms, 2 nights, was around $2100, with one room being an executive suite. The entrance and lobby was chaos from the start with bags everywhere. One of the lifts was out of service with wait times of 10+ minutes all morning both days, no explanation of why it was out of service, nor compensation for the clear reduction of expected hotel service. The room, whilst well appointed is dated and worn, and the executive suite was right behind the lifts which scraped all through the night-why would you place your executive suites in the noisiest part of the floor? The executive lounge was an absolute joke, overcrowded: Breakfast-very poor food, a broken toaster you had to use tongs to push the button down on, completely uncontrolled people flow with kids running around everywhere. Drinks and canapés-it was more like being at an airport gate, Canapés of party pies?? You had to queue at a pop up table for a drink as if guests couldn’t be trusted to open a beer themselves. Simply put, there was nothing exclusive about this ‘perk’ of membership/premium room purchase. It is worn out, poorly laid out, offers nothing to make you feel like a premium customer at all. Finally, as a member I was only offered drinks vouchers for one of the two rooms, which is a small discretion but on top of everything else makes it clear this hotel is out to save money at the cost of its guests. All in all this ranks amongst the worst hotel stays I have had with Accor or any other provider, particularly as it is marketed as a premium brand.
