Let’s start, on Thursday (8/1) We came back again for a very early dinner and ordered the same meals, and the improvement was amazing. Everything was spot on this time. The service was excellent — very polite, welcoming, and friendly from the moment we arrived. The venue was clean, tidy, and had a really nice atmosphere with a great vibe. The food was top-notch. The Chicken Parmi🤤was full of flavour with plenty of sauce and perfectly melted mozzarella. The Ribeye😋 was cooked exactly as requested (medium), juicy, and cooked beautifully. Compliments to the chef. This is also a great place to bring the family for a feed — whether you’re coming on your own, as a couple, or with the whole family, it suits everyone. The total was around $72, which we found very fair and reasonable for the quality of food and service. We were more than happy to pay that for such a great meal. I honestly think more of the Marrickville community (and people from further afield) should come and check this place out — just make sure you come hungry 😄

Reasonably priced food that’s actually yum and good quality. Staff are friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is awesome. Good music that isn’t so loud that you can’t hear people when conversing, TV screens everywhere with a variety of sport playing 24/7. Beautiful restaurant upstairs (yet to try)

Solid spot for pub food, for the price you pay it’s slightly on the smaller side, but the weeknight specials make up for it. Schnitty on point and the service is top notch. They also have live music which adds to the atmospheres

The Montague Hotel: good food, good mood, and a couple of tasty tweaks away from perfect. Let’s begin, We stopped by The Montague Hotel (formerly The Ritz) on Friday for a late lunch/early dinner. We ordered the Chicken Parmi with root slaw, parmesan, fries, and lemon ($28) and the Ribeye 300g with chips, café de Paris, jus, and mushroom sauce ($44). The meals came out looking fresh and generous. The venue was clean, had a mellow atmosphere, and the service was fantastic — staff were friendly and welcoming. My only small feedback: the Chicken Parmi could’ve used more sauce and extra melted mozzarella, as it was a little on the dry side. The Ribeye was tender and tasty, but I asked for medium and received medium rare — still good, just not my preference. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back. I’d recommend this spot to both locals and visitors — good food, reasonable prices, and lovely service.

Our group are locals. Harriet’s is something Marrickville needed!! Both the waitress and the hotel manager provided an excellent service. The manager in particular was very accomodating. My wife and friends wanted an affogato for dessert which was not on the menu - she said no problem and whipped something up for us. Highly recommend this venue to all our friends and family. p.s. fantastic stylish refurbishment, we all thought we were in the wrong suburb. Marrickville finally growing up haha
