Reviews for Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park
Julia
We had a wonderful breakfast at Sheraton on the Park Sydney. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect start to the day. A special thank you to our waiter Marlej — a very attentive, polite, and friendly young man who made our experience even more enjoyable. Excellent service all around. We will definitely be back! If you want, I can make a slightly more formal version or add details about specific dishes you liked. And honestly — you see every day in your medical practice how much good feedback matters — this kind of review really helps great staff like him get recognised.

A visit to the café at the magnificent Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park never disappoints. I’m not entirely certain it’s formally called “Café du Grand,” but frankly it ought to be — the setting and experience certainly deserve the name. Overlooking beautiful Hyde Park, this grand hotel manages to strike a rare balance: refined and elegant without ever feeling stiff or overly formal. The service is attentive yet relaxed, exactly as hospitality should be, and the food is consistently marvellous. A special mention must go to Lynn, our service superstar, who truly acts as an ambassador for the hotel. Her warmth and professionalism elevate the experience and make guests feel genuinely welcome. I always enjoy visiting this property — whether it’s for coffee at the café, dining in the restaurant for their famous seafood buffet, or the occasional stay (though not nearly often enough given it’s in my own city). As an IHG Ambassador my hotel loyalties are usually otherwise engaged, but this Sheraton remains one of Sydney’s enduring classics. Stylish, gracious, and yet comfortably down-to-earth — I highly recommend it.

Extremely poor had Sharmae and Barry check me in. Zero customer service, communication skills non existent. Sharmae apparently a manager! Sheraton grand Sydney needs to consider procedures, customer service. I had room service expensive and very poor. The hotel is definitely overcharging guests, considering other hotels for same price who provide a lot better service, quality, amenities, food etc. The only positive for the hotel is it’s location that’s it! Sheraton grand Sydney needs to make some major changes. The W Sydney also a Marriott Bonvoy 💯 times better. Than the Sheraton Grand Sydney have no interest in rebooking at the Sheraton Grand Sydney not up to standard. 👎👎👎

We loved our park room stay, 14th floor. The room was huge! Bed and pillows super comfy. Walk in robe and big bathroom with bath. We were looking at paying more for a crappy airbnb in manly. The roomservice food quality was excellent - we ate a club sandwich then prawn and mussel pasta cooked to perfection and salmon. Would stay again, hopefully soon!

If going here for the Sunday seafood buffet, don't bother. Do yourself a favour and go to Epicurean at the Crown which is excellent compared to the Sheraton. There is a much wider variety at the Crown and the view is amazing. If you were lucky to get a table near the window you could see the park. The seafood at the Sheraton mainly consisted of prawns, Balmain bugs and oysters, and they ran out of bugs. There was also a small plate of smoked salmon. They had sweet & sour Barramundi which my husband said was nice. There should have been a large cooked fish, but no. The selection of seafood and other proteins were very limited and for the cost and quality it was not up to scratch and very disappointing.
