Karolina Kraska brings an international perspective and a genuine passion for events to her role as Business Development Executive at VenueNow. Based in Sydney, Karolina’s journey into the events industry began overseas, where she studied Event Management in Poland before continuing her career in events and hospitality after moving to Australia.

“I studied Event Management back in Poland and continued working in events and hospitality after moving to Australia,” Karolina shares. That global experience has shaped her approach to the industry, giving her a strong appreciation for diverse event styles, venue experiences, and the importance of adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

With a background rooted in events and hospitality, Karolina brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to building relationships with VenueNow partners, helping venues connect with the right opportunities and ensuring every event starts with the right space.

What do you enjoy most about working in events?

Meeting new people and networking, but also seeing happy clients when the event they envisioned comes to life.

What’s your favourite event you’ve attended and why?

Coldplay concert! The atmosphere, lighting and sound were incredible and really showed how powerful a well-produced live event can be.

What makes a great event in your opinion?

Seamless for guests, it has a clear purpose and creates a memorable experience.

What’s one event trend you’re loving right now?

Smaller, more intimate events focusing on experience and guest engagement.

What’s your number one event planning tip?

Start with a clear brief and objectives.

Do you have an event “hack” you swear by?

Always have a solid plan B!

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the events industry?

Stay calm under pressure, and you learn the most by being hands-on.

What’s one thing people might not know about working in events?

There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work and long hours.

I love playing tennis, going for walks and swims on the weekends, or watching the sunset at Milk Beach.
