What a great night for the Musical Bingo on the rooftop on Tuesday! The whole experience was so fun from the amazing bartender JD who looked after us girls so well, the musical bingo with such a variation of songs that had us singing all evening and the very generous bar tabs for the winners of the bingo! 2 of our girls won prizes. The pizza was super delicious as well :) A huge thank you to Brendan for organising our booking. We have such a great night!

Fit out looks nice and the staff are friendly, but the food was horrific. It was the worst pasta I’ve had in a long time. The carbonara was dense and cakey and the pasta was really overcooked. I was able to pick the whole thing up like a hockey puck, and its consistency was far more similar to an omelette than a bowl of pasta.

Pub that turns into a nightclub after 9 p.m. Great atmosphere on the ground floor with a good funktion 1 sound system. The lights combined with this sound system do provide a great sensory experience at this area of the club. Various different promotors use this venue so it is best to check the schedule on their website. The photos below are from an event called ‘Maniac Love’ First floor is a smaller room. The sound system in here is questionable and could do with some improvement. There are also a few balconies on the first floor that are used as tables during the day time. They shut by 10pm due to noise restrictions. The rooftop boasts a really nice cocktail Bar and restaurant that is quite decent! Overall 4/5
Sydney Meetup
After several years of refurbishment, The Abercrombie's decked out multi-storey floors are certainly one not to miss for all age groups despite its reputation for uni parties. Brendan, Brianna and the Sofitel team have been anything but enthusiastic and helpful for our DJ public event, kindly opening the entire top floor for almost the entire day than a typically closed Sunday. Great deals for $10 pizzas and $15 beer jugs/cocktails - the cheeseburgers were also generous portions!

HOMOPHOBIC SECURITY - Me and my partner recently experienced a homophobic interaction with a security guard at this event. A young male security guard escorted my partner from the dancefloor after he saw us kissing. I followed him to see what was going on and the security guard kept asking me why I was following them. I told him so I can understand what is going on as you've just asked my partner to leave. Throughout the interaction, the security guard repeatedly referred to me as my partner's "mate" despite our corrections and requests to address me correctly as his boyfriend. The security guard could not explain why we were being asked to leave and was more concerned by the fact that I was present to support my partner and that he didn't like that we were together. After being escorted outside he finally explained that he thought we were intoxicated and could not re-enter. We asked to speak to the licensee on duty who came over a few moments later. While we were waiting there was a patron rolling around on the ground quite close to the gutter of Broadway. When we asked the other security what was going on he just laughed and said "he's already been kicked out" but didn't seem too concerned about his safety. The licensee on duty came over and allowed us and said that we were fine to re-enter the venue. Following this we collected our friends and immediately left as we no longer felt safe in this venue. This experience left us feeling deeply uncomfortable and concerned about potential discrimination in the future.
