Our home away from home. My business partner and I started our business, The Hummingbirds, two years ago in the original William Street Hub and moved to Hub Hyde Park when it opened last year. Fantastic design, amazing people, social events, great location, beautiful rooftop cafe and balcony, dog friendly, and everything you need whether you are a start up or established business. Our clients love coming us. My favourite member times are fortnightly Thursday Breakfast Club and weekly Friday Wine Down.

Well designed, spacious co-working space over several floors. Lots of natural light. High ceilings. Private cafe with rooftop balcony area for co-working tenants. Good range of bookable meeting rooms. Close to Hyde Park and Museum subway station. Really enjoyable place to work.

I visited what felt like every coworking space in the Sydney CBD area, and although this one is just on the other side of Hyde Park from the rest of the CBD, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything as a result. I just needed a dedicated desk with solid wifi, free coffee (they have a self-serve espresso machine in addition to the full café), and a sun-soaked rooftop patio with a view of the Sydney skyline. I wear noise-cancelling cans all day, every day, so the noise level is not an issue for me, but if you need silence to focus, you may have a harder time focusing around here unless you splurge for the private office. Mood music plays around the open-floor office, and even in the restrooms. There are some soundproof phone booths, but seems like there could be a few more around the office. I enjoy the Friday wine downs as well. Oh and it’s dog-friendly!

This co-working space has some issues: It doesn't work during actual business time. The desks open at 9:00 AM and close at 5:00 PM sharp. So if you have a meeting at 4:30 PM or are handling any emergency at work (that happened to me), you won't be able to get things done by the end of the work day. They sent you an automatic e-mail around 4:45 PM as a "friendly" reminder that you must leave by 5:00 PM. I've also faced issues getting in the building in the morning due to the doors that won't open if you don't have a badge - which it's my case since I usually get a day pass, so every time I need to wait for someone else (who has a badge) to help me to get in. Other than that, the space is generally fine: Good internet and amenities, beautiful decoration, and it's spotless (the cleaning team seems excellent), front-desk staff are ok.

Spent a week here while visiting/working with my company's ANZ team who offices in this location. Not really sure where to start. Friendly staff - check. Great location - check. Amazing coffee machine up on the third floor - check. Cute little cafe / coffee bar on the third floor with killer views of the central business district - check. A simply but excellent feature of this location is that you can enter from either the Oxford or Liverpool sides which is helpful to quickly get you where you need to go and will keep you out of the rain if need be. Missing my team and the solid automated coffee machine :-)
