Great location, tram on your doorstop as is Central train station. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Woke up at 2.30 am a bit cold, called for an extra blanket and they delivered! Bed was comfy, good size bathroom, needs some more hooks to hang a towel off. Loved the old feel of the hotel. Bar downstairs that serves good sized meals. Join up and get 10% off the cost. Overall great place to stay if your doing stuff in the city. Only thing missing is a microwave!

We provided painting services to the hotel, where the rooms are consistently clean and regularly updated to ensure guest comfort. The restaurant was nothing short of fantastic, especially during lunchtime when our team had the pleasure of enjoying its offerings. The vibrant atmosphere and delightful menu truly enhanced our experience.

Great view. Rooms could use an upgrade, but overall, it's more than sufficient. Very clean. A microwave wouldn't hurt either. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is in a perfect spot. It's easy to get EVERYWHERE, including the airport. Definitely try the authentic Asian cuisine in every direction.

What a find! A Jewell in the heart of Sydney city in a refurbished, beautifully so, modern hotel. Check-in personnel were very efficient whilst being polite and friendly. Nearby food courts and minutes away walk from harbour ferries. Breakfast choices are plentiful and very reasonably priced. Rooms are generously sized, clean and adjoining ensuite bathroom well sized and designed. The Great Southern Hotel is well named, Great.

Good location, close to transport, Chinatown and paddy’s market. bars restaurants cafes are numerous, you can walk to downtown or catch a light rail, there is a good pub inside the hotel plus a restaurant. Staff are very helpful. This is an old building that has kept a lot of nostalgia, rooms are clean and renovated.
