We had a terrific experience really enjoy the room there and it is the staff we’re friendly. The delicious food. Indoor pool was a delight and also the breakfast with the freshly squeeze juice maker was awesome. The location is absolutely ideal for the UTA race with such a short walk / run to the starting line. My family could sleep in and come and join after which was great. Also it’s not too far to the town.

Let’s start with the (few) positives… the location is very convenient if you are into scenic walks and hikes being located within close proximity to the Scenic Center and Echo Point lookout. We stayed in the Executive Resort View Suite which is spacious. Before you book this hotel you should be aware of the following little freebies… If you order food from room service you have a 50/50 chance of the wrong items being delivered and an even higher likelihood of it being severely undercooked Make sure you bring a book or chess board to breakfast as it will take at least 25’min for a coffee or tea to be brought to your table. If you don’t like death stares from the waitresses I highly recommend you don’t ask for any updates on your order. If they had a TV in the breakfast area you could enjoy an entire 1-day test whilst waiting for runny eggs and stale toast to be brought to your table. As a marketing strategy the hotel could use a slogan such as Farm Fresh with the eggs evidently being served straight from the chicken coop to your plate. Quite frankly this should at least raise the attention of the public health and safety department. I highly recommend you take out travel insurance before coming here and have a Flying Doctor helicopter on standby in case your gut doesn’t tolerate the hotels appealingly low quality breakfast offering “Room service” pride themselves on making sure your room will not be made until 4pm in the afternoon. Any queries regarding any type of service are met with a blank stare and a well trained should shrug. I can only assume that this is to encourage you to spend as little time as possible in your room and enjoy the local environment. Any dirty cups or cutlery will be left unwashed so you will not forget whatever you ate or drank 24 hours ago. Perhaps this is the hotel’s contribution to reducing its carbon footprint or to make a memorable impression for its guests. If you haven’t seen the movie Back to the Future don’t bother as the TV in the room is at least 20 years old and if you have children you could play a game of trivia asking them to identity the strange black box attached to it, which turns out is a DVD player The air-condition doesn’t work either. We were told that it had a mind of its own and using the actual remote to set the temperature would not correlate to the actual cooling output. Anyone from Melbourne who is acclimatised to 4 seasons in one day will feel like a locals. The hotel manager and spa manager where about the only two staff members who were genuine in ensuring a reasonablly comfortably stay especially when issues were flagged along the way For a premium priced resort at $2,500 for 3 nights this is well below what other hotels and resort are offering in this price range or below

I was lucky enough to visit the day spa at Lilianfels after running the UTA a couple of days beforehand. I was very sore, tired and feeling exhausted. Vanessa, my therapist was like a big warm hug. The treatment was exactly what I needed and the level of attention to detail was next level. Vanessa used the perfect amount of pressure during my massage and the products she used in the facial left my skin glowing. She even put my bath robe on the heater so it was toasty when I put it back on. If you want to treat yourself, I highly recommend. And ask for Vanessa - she was perfection!

Booked a baby moon package and had a lovely time. We stayed in a Grand View room: it was spacious and nice. The rooms were a bit worse for wear but over all clean. The bathroom was nice too. Shout out to Lan Le who was at reception at around 8pm and she was so diligent and quick with getting our pillow and other requests it made the experience great. Would consider coming back here.

Location spectacular and the service amazing. The staff here in this hotel cannot do enough for you. Checking in was a breeze by the friendly staff and the Bar and Restaurant staff were very attentive. A special shout out to the Spa staff Eva and Kat. Wow. My husband and I had the 2hr volcanic stone ritual experience and even though the actual experience was outstanding (this is our 6th time) Eva and Kat made the experience so much more enjoyable. From the welcome experience as soon as we arrived to the after service post the treatment. I hope the ladies and the staff receive the Kudos for this review. Very well deserved and should be recognised for outstanding service.
