This place was the most disappointed I’ve ever been at my accommodation choices. The pricing. Not only was it overpriced for what we received, but there were two different prices listed on Google vs. the hotels website. We paid an additional $75(?) on top of what was advertised on Google. The ‘prestigious’ room itself was tiny and an absolute rort that we paid $350(?) for it. It was a 2 star hotel room at 4 star prices. It was tiny; the sink constantly dripped, the bathroom had (broken) louvers for some reason so you could hear and see everything, the bedsheets were stained, the sliding door was desperately in need of some lubricant, the thin walls made it so I could hear the person next door watching tv, the kettle was disgusting, the towels were paper thin and yellowed. Outside of the room; the elevator was graffitied, the parking lot was filled with debris (about four parking spaces were taken up with old building materials and furniture), the hallways were musty with stained carpet. The beach location was nice, but unfortunately the cyclone did some damage and took away some sand (obviously not a fault here). The staff member I interacted with was very nice, just a bit snobbish. If this hotel was listed as a 2 star hotel and priced itself accordingly, then maybe my review would not be so harsh. Instead though, it’s riding on the coattails of whatever level of luxury it must have had decades(?) ago. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Would not stay here again. We paid $460 a night for a 2 bedroom “spa suite” which turned out to be two completely separate hotel rooms next to each other. Reception even handed us doorstops to keep them open (lol). When you have a 4 year old, the last thing you want is separate rooms that require a swipe card to access, so thank goodness for those doorstops. Our first room was an accessible one (which we didn’t request), and it was musty, with worn out, eroding fixtures that were honestly pretty unpleasant. Definitely not what I’d call a spa suite. We asked to move and were given another room, but the hotel overall is really tired and in desperate need of an update. To top it off, there was bird poo all over the balcony, which made it impossible to sit outside and enjoy the view. For the price, it’s just not worth it. The only positives were the beachfront location and a decent pool, but being in northern NSW/Gold Coast, you can easily find that elsewhere.

Our recent stay with a toddler was great. The facilities and position were perfect. Staff in particular Ellie at the front desk was super friendly and professional, cleaning staff were great, and the guy at the front desk Dean was super cool rearranging our holiday to suit our requests. Lovely- can’t wait to go back. Note they also have an emphasis on recycling and using biodegradable plastic- that’s awesome, so many hotels need to do this! Thanks Ellie and Dean 😊

I personally would not recommend this hotel to stay at. I can't comment on a majority of the amenities but the rooms are disappointing and the service is average. We booked a room for 3 people and arrived to find only one bed set up, we called reception about this and it took over an hour to send anyone. When someone was sent they only had sheets and no pillows or blankets. There was only one blanket in the room (we did have our own) If you were planning to watch a movie, the tv in the room is only live tv and the other has 'trending' movies from over 5 years ago and not much selection. The remotes are quite laggy as well. The bathroom has shutter blinds between it and the room and no lock on the door (barely any privacy between guests). The shutters don't close all the way you can see into the bath from the bedroom without choice. We did go to the buffet breakfast which was covered by the hotel due to the stuff ups and honestly if it wasn't free I'd be disappointed. Most of the food was cold (we showed up around 8:45) and not worth the price (around $26 per person). This hotel does have lovely views and while I did not go in the pool, I can say it looked nice but overall the experience was not worth the price and I'd suggest staying elsewhere.

We travelled to Kingscliff for a wedding and all looking forward to our stay at Mantra Salt Beach. The location was stunning and the pool and outdoor amenities were good. Unfortunately that is where the positives ended. The entire property requires a refurbish. It is outdated and old. The carpets were dirty, our room had a toilet seat that was falling off. We had broken and cracked crockery and cutlery. The ceiling fan was rusted and not working. The bathroom and bedroom doors had plantation shutters offering no privacy whatsoever and all heard everyone’s business. Disappointing all round. Not worth the money. ☹️
