Dinned here for a Weekday lunch. Pretty disappointed and left feeling ripped off. We ordered through the QR code. When paying the app was cryptic with not adding a tip. Still baffles me as to this tipping culture in Australia and while ordering through an app. I ordered the prawn roll and my wife ordered the Fish and chips. We sat at the table and saw the food ready to be picked up and served for over 5 minutes. By the time it was served the chips were at room temp & under seasoned and the prawn roll was stale and soggy. Pretty pathetic considering alone the prawn roll was $32. Tbh the Fish was cooked very nice and wasn't too greasy. Over all considering the price and service I don't plan on returning here and I recommend eating elsewhere

Well located in Shelly Beach. Good service, food came fast considering the place was busy on a Friday afternoon. The place is huge. I had a Boathouse salad with Barramundi. Delicious. Toilets clean, I love the sinks.

Dined in at the boathouse the food was amazing so tasty. Spicy salami pizza was the best I would say. The chips were cooked perfectly and came with an aioli dip which complimented them perfectly. Finally we had the focaccia bread with humous which was also very good. For drinks we got margaritas and an Aperol spritz on the ‘happy hour’ they were $12 a piece and tasted amazing. The food came quickly but then the drinks got slightly mixed up. Would definitely recommend to eat and/or drink here, especially in the happy hour!

Take out coffee and muffin - coffee was lovely, muffin could have been fresher, it was a little stodgy. Ate on the beach right outside which was nice. Service - typical Aussie obsession with ordering at the right counter … just a few feet from the “wrong” counter.

In my opinion, they serve the best fish and chips in Sydney—the fish is always fresh, perfectly fried, and paired with crispy, golden chips. It’s a dish you can’t miss! Their cocktails are top-notch as well, offering a refreshing complement to the meal, especially when enjoyed with the beautiful views over the beach and ocean. The atmosphere is laid-back yet stylish, and the service is always friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. If you’re looking for great food, drinks, and an amazing ambiance, The Boathouse is definitely worth a visit.
