Disappointing Experience at Grand Bavarchi I recently visited Grand Bavarchi on a weekday evening, drawn in by its convenient location near Parramatta Station, but unfortunately, the experience was far from what I had hoped for. Overall, I found the visit to be nothing special and left feeling very disappointed. The service was a significant letdown. It was very poor, and I felt ignored for much of the evening. To make matters worse, I was highly disappointed to find that several items on the menu were unavailable. When I tried to order the lamb, I was told it wasn't an option. Then, I was informed that the goat dish was also out. It's frustrating to see items listed on the menu that aren't actually available, and it created a very disappointing start to the meal. Adding to my discomfort was the decor. I noticed several Buddhist statues and images displayed throughout the restaurant, including at the bar. While I am not a Buddhist, I found this display disrespectful and out of place, especially in a restaurant setting. It felt like a significant cultural misstep and was, in my opinion, a disgrace. Given the poor service and the general lack of quality, I can confidently say that this restaurant is not value for money. I will not be returning to Grand Bavarchi and cannot recommend it to others.

Meh. Must say, we were quite underwhelmed with our experience at Grand Bavarchi. We were very excited prior to coming but they fell very short of our expectations. To begin with, we had advised at the time of booking that we would be bringing a pram but at no point during the booking were we told that the restaurant is not really suit for prams or wheelchairs since there are 2 flights of stairs you need to walk up to get to the restaurant. Secondly, the service at the restaurant was quite poor. Considering they are marketing themselves as fine-dining Indian, we expected it to be better than the usual Indian restaurants but the wait times were considerably noticeable. Granted there was a function happening at the same time but from what we saw, the service across all seated guests were poor. Considering the price you pay, this should be better. The food was average. Not bad but not exceptional either. For the price you pay, I would say this was not worth the cost and you could get the same quality food at other typical Indian restaurants for much cheaper. All in all, not the best experience but it looks like it varies (based on all the 5 star reviews) depending on when you go. Might try again but not anytime soon.
