Our wedding at The Robertson Hotel was an absolute dream come true! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning venue, the incredible food, and the attentive staff who made sure every detail was perfect. The Robertson Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for our surprise wedding, with its beautiful surroundings and charming ambiance that made the day feel truly magical. The food was nothing short of spectacular! Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, with our guests raving about each bite. The culinary team at The Robertson Hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and the menu was a highlight of the celebration. The staff were amazing, going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They were attentive, friendly, and made us feel incredibly special. We also owe a huge thank you to Rebecca, our wedding coordinator, who was a true star. She took care of every detail with such grace and professionalism, making sure that everything was seamless and allowing us to fully enjoy our day. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at The Robertson Hotel, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stunning venue with exceptional service. Thank you to the entire team for making our wedding day unforgettable!

What a shame! My husband and I stayed here for the June long weekend 2024. It’s sad to say despite the hotel’s incredible potential, we were let down by too many things to list here. The first room we were allocated smelled of stale pigeon droppings so pungent, that we could not stay. We went downstairs to reception to be told there were no other rooms available and they would offer a refund until one of the staff kindly offered up her room to us instead. Given this was a long weekend, it would have been very difficult for us to find alternative accommodation at short notice, so we accepted the staff member’s offer. The heater in our room was broken, there was no remote control for the television and no power points near the bed or anywhere in the bathroom, which makes it impossible to use a hair dryer (which is not supplied by the hotel anyway). There is also no phone available to contact reception, no tea or coffee facilities or bar fridge in the room. We booked a $20 pp breakfast on our first morning and found that none of the fire places were on and they had only put up a small plug-in heater that was so insufficient that most of the patrons (including ourselves) were forced to eat breakfast wearing scarves and jackets. There were no more mugs by 8:20am (breakfast starts at 8am), and they had run out of milk and sugar. There were plenty of other things amiss, so unfortunately the overall experience was pretty awful. I say it’s a shame because the hotel has endless potential if it wasn’t so run down and if the owners paid better attention to the needs of their guests. It would have been incredible in its hay day and I imagine the original owners would be turning in their graves if they saw the level of neglect.

The room was comfortable and reasonably priced, the hotel had character similar to the 1916 mountains cottage that I grew up in and the grounds were gorgeous when I went for a short walk after arriving and before breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful when I said I needed a quick breakfast as had to leave soon. It was a little quirky but I liked that. I am used to lugging my own makeup/hair bags everywhere and it was sort of refreshing not to have someone ask if I wanted them to take them as I never do. I also liked the fact that the tea/coffee urn was in the foyer as I heard guests chatting around it early in the evening.

Went to the restaurant for lunch. Limited seating and very quiet so was slightly awkward with our somewhat noisy family. Amazing food and cocktails and was lovely sitting by the fire. Loved the historical feel of the place. Coffee was no good but I really enjoyed the experience overall.

Fantastic experience. We take a weekend away each year for Christmas in July. Each year is better than the last. A lot of effort to give a cozy, authentic experience. Special shout-out to the Italian maestro, Lucas, firing on all cylinders the whole weekend.
