All of the staff were truly awesome—very warm, welcoming, and attentive. We really felt looked after. However, the hotel itself was disappointing. There were large cockroaches in the lobby, and our room was extremely warm. We even had to borrow an extra fan just to be able to sleep. We booked two nights for our anniversary, and we don’t have much extra money for things like this. We actually saved up for a while just to afford a nice celebration, so it really hurts that the experience turned out this way. We even ended up going home after the first night because the room was too uncomfortable to stay in. The pool area was also slippery, so please be extra careful. And during the buffet breakfast, we noticed a fly on the breads and pastries, which was quite off-putting. Overall, what was supposed to be a special anniversary stay turned into a bit of a disaster for us. It’s a good thing the employees were all very kind, but unfortunately they couldn’t really fix the issues we experienced.

Easy drive from Sydney Airport to hotel. Great king size bed. Shower is small and takes a while to get warm. No smart TV. Excellent service from the front desk and quiet room, as requested. Parking is $20 for 24 hours with unlimited entry and system worked well. The gym and pool are well equipped and a great additional offering.

Stayed here for the weekend. First time checking in the room was really big and spacious and i genuinely loved it! Great view as well. Had a few rude staff at the Resturant, we felt very uncomfortable when we come back on Saturday questioning why we were there, I said it’s a hotel and we are staying here lol! Felt that was very random and very rude! Then Sunday morning I found a cockroach in our room? 🤮 I paid $1000 for the weekend and would not recommend staying there personally. First night was amazing and was like this is so good even though there was a few bad reviews. Then the last day or so just really showed how it is.. I shouldn’t have to pay $500 per night for a cockroach and questioned why we entered the hotel! Very odd

They should call this Rydges Harris Park. Not Parramatta. Hotel is too far from Paramatta CBD. No shops close to the hotel as well. Very inconvenient. The ACs were also not working when we stayed there a night. Too hot on a summer day. AC set to 18C but was blowing room temperature air like a fan.

Our family's stay at Rydges Parramatta from 19-22 was a complete disaster. With a 6-month-old baby, we expected a comfortable and clean environment, but the rooms were a letdown. The aircon didn't work, and the key card was faulty, causing us to make multiple trips to the reception. As loyal customers, we've always chosen Rydges, but this experience was a nightmare. The dusty kettle and uncomfortable sofa bed were the final straw. We won't be returning to Rydges and would not recommend it to others.
