Wonderful Two-Night Stay at Rydges Parramatta Highly Recommended for Comfort, Value, and Service Our recent two-night stay at Rydges Parramatta was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. The check-in process, handled by Karen at reception, was seamless—quick, professional, and welcoming, setting a positive tone for our visit. The location was a great fit for our stay. We were in town to celebrate a friend’s 50th, and Rydges proved to be the perfect base for the occasion. The service throughout our stay was consistently excellent. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, polite, and ready to assist, making us feel right at home. The room itself was spotlessly clean and the bed exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. We especially appreciated the room service, which exceeded our expectations: our meals arrived promptly, piping hot, and were delivered with genuine warmth and courtesy. This attention to detail truly elevated our stay. Another standout was the value for money. The room rates were very reasonable, especially considering the high standard of accommodation and service provided. Underground parking is another big plus for our stay. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Rydges Parramatta to anyone looking for comfort, excellent service, and great value. We look forward to returning in the future!

I stayed overnight to attend a medical conference the following day. I am a mature aged woman with some mobility issues. When making my booking over the phone I was told I could pay for my room in cash on arrival and, on top of that, it would cost $20 extra per day to use the hotel parking. However, the day before I was due to arrive,, I was sent a request to perform Contactless check in on line using my credit card and was told to pick up my room key from the kiosk at reception on arrival. After finding my own way to my room, I opened the door and the temperature inside was stifling hot and oppressive. (The weather outside was cool) I tried everything I could think of to adjust the temperature but the air-conditioner was not Responding. I thought to call Reception but when I picked up the phone receiver, there was no dial tone. I ended up having to crawl around on the floor to reconnect the phone which had been pulled out of the wall socket. When I finally got onto the Reception, the woman suggested to try a couple of things which I had already tried to get the air-conditioning working so she said she would come up and see if she can reset it for me. I waited all night for that person to arrive, but nobody turned up to help me at all. At one stage, I discovered that I could open the window about 6 inches which let in a small amount of cool air. So I sat beside that small opening for a couple of hours until things cooled down a bit. I was also given a cost list for the items in the mini bar but when I looked in the mini bar there was absolutely nothing in there except for a couple of single serve milk pods. I must say the room itself was clean and tidy and the bed was really comfortable once the environment was conducive to sleep. I have stayed in some really good hotels around the world which were really professional and well managed but based on this experience I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as I found it impersonal and on the whole, staff unhelpful. The medical conference I attended was well run and well catered for.

Special thanks to Karen who showed more professionalism and customer care then I have experienced at most of the hundreds of hotel stays over last few years. Beds and pillows are nice and great job with lighting in the rooms, having warm lighting that’s not directly in your face, many hotels fail to achieve that. Buffet breakfast looked of high quality as well compared to Holiday inn chain etc. Hopefully Alan Rydge can invest further in this location in the future and continue upgrades/renovation.

Rooms are comfortable Food was ok But as for room service, they need to address that. I came back to my room and did ask for my room to be made up, only to find the bed wasn't made properly it looked like someone had laid down in it and then to find a black hair in under the sheets near the pillows. I have blonde hair. The coffee area had not been restocked. When I went down to reception to ask if someone could please come and change my bedding, was told my room had been cleaned and no one was available to help . I asked for the sheets to remake my bed. I took photos of the bed and the front desk didn't seem surprised although she did ask was anything missing, which made me think either this has happened before or possibly someone might have broken in.

Been coming to stay here for many years.but haven't been for awhile,was very shocked there was no bar downstairs anymore,no mini bar/snacks,limited coffee & tea in room,no music,and place was very dusty, corridors an general areas were not very clean although rooms were.place def was not sparkling like it use to be.understandly our room wasn't ready,but when I asked reception was there anywhere we could leave our bags,( we were going to races)was told to leave them in car.we had driven 2hours so also wanted to freshen up for races was told to use tiny amenities on ground floor..the RYDGES use to be a great fun friendly happy place to stay,that vibe def no longer there.and I'm not even starting on the CARPARK PRICE..def won't be back..
