Reviews for Australian Reptile Park

Delighted we stopped off at the Australian Reptile park while travelling down the east coast. A unique experience where you get really up close with some very rare and fabulous animals, who were clearly loved. Staff were informative, fun, friendly and fabulous. Definitely recommend it. Great value for money.

My family and I follow The Venom Diaries on YT so we knew IMMEDIATELY when we were doing our family Roadtrip up the east coast that we’d be stopping here for a visit and it did not disappoint. The new venom milking centre was such a unique experience getting to see how skilled the staff are and learning about the anti venom manufacturing process. My kids loved interacting with the Kangaroos. Less and less wildlife parks are allowing people to have free range experiences so it was a highlight for them. The reptile show was AMAZING! I watched both of them because the guy doing the speaking is hilarious and so captivating. For a smaller park it has some distinct experiences that sets it apart. We were really bummed about one thing though. We wanted to do the Reptile HQ experience and they weren’t running it because the staff member wasn’t available 😩. I hope this place can continue to expand because it was be amazing if it could incorporate more of the interesting international reptiles. Particularly to house the top 25 most toxic snakes etc which gives people an interesting display which shows how much Australian snakes feature 😁.

Visiting the Australian Reptile Park with my family was a truly fascinating experience. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a world of incredible wildlife and engaging attractions that made our visit unforgettable. The park offers a wide variety of exhibits, each thoughtfully designed to educate and inspire visitors of all ages. What stood out most were the live shows—each one a beautiful opportunity to learn about the unique characteristics and ecological roles of reptiles. The keepers were passionate and knowledgeable, sharing insights that deepened our appreciation for these often misunderstood creatures. Watching a python up close, observing the feeding of a crocodile, and learning about venomous snakes were not only thrilling but also deeply educational. The park’s layout made it easy to explore, and there were plenty of interactive experiences for children, which added to the joy of discovering together as a family. From cuddling a koala to spotting kangaroos and wombats, the experience extended beyond reptiles and showcased Australia’s rich biodiversity. We left the park with hearts full of wonder and minds enriched by the knowledge we gained. It was more than just a visit—it was a shared moment of awe, learning, and connection with nature. Highly recommended for families seeking both adventure and education.

We spent a good few hours exploring the park at a leisurely pace. A variety of animals from reptiles, arachnids, amphibians to cuddly koalas and kangaroos. Keepers were friendly and happy to answer any questions my girls had. The reptile show was interesting and my girls got to touch some of the snakes and lizards they brought out. I enjoyed seeing (Hugo?) the Galapagos Island Tortoise go for a 'stroll' outside his enclosure and at 74yo he was the same age as grandad but still considered a teenager as can live to 150-200years! Park is well laid out with gators in a big lake that has a nice track alongside from where you can easily and safely observe the gators. In the middle of the park there are many kangaroos to feed and pet which my 8 and 5yo loved. kangaroo feed is purchased at the ticket counter.

Had such a good experience at the Australian reptile park! It was great for kids with lots of hands on things to do with the animals plus a massive playground so that they could take a break and play. The talks were really interesting and all of the animals were super active.
