Restaurants in popular areas can often turn into tourist traps where they want to shake you down. This is NOT one if those places, proven by how popular the place is among locals, as well as the tourists. Okay, it's not super cheap but prices are reasonable for the area (The Rocks) and the food and the drinks are great and authentically represent what the name of the establishment promises. None of that wimpy middy and schooner stuff for beer (that's where sizes start in NSW) but it goes from 500ml up. The 1l is very popular but you can go higher. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating to any reasonable requests. They are very hard working but still find their smiles! π It can get quite noisy and overrun by tourists at peak hours, so if that's not your thing, just go there during the quieter times which I tend to do myself. That also makes it easier to get in without a booking. If you go during busy hours, it's better to book in advance. All in all, a pleasurable experience, although don't expect to lose weight after a visit!!

My partner and I had our birthday celebration last weekend and everything was nearly perfect. The downside was they overdid my steak to well done. I told the superb Felicia, our server, about my predicament. She gladly informed the chef and came back to applogise and offered a free drink or beer. It might not be the outcome I expected but because of her good nature and attentiveness to us I decided to let it go and enjoy the night. The highlight of our dinner was the mango beer and apple strudel which was to die for. They had live band music and games for all to enjoy. I highly recommend this place for those looking for a unique and fun family/friends celebration.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration lunch for my dad at Munich here. The staff is super nice and friendly. Food is good and affordable! The best Bavarian cuisine in sydney!

When we think of the best German food and beer in Sydney, this is the first place that comes to mind. The food is always amazing and never disappoints us. We always enjoy our time here and have an amazing experience. The Tasting Platter for One is highly recommended for anyone wanting to try a bit of everything. It's a great value and very satisfying. Highly recommended place to visit in Sydney.

A very popular spot in the heart of Argyle Street. Staying at the Harbour Rocks hotel this is very convenient. All the staff are friendly, efficient and polite. The food is delicious and the so are the beers. They also do a $20 Lunch menu which is such great value. Definitely recommend. ππ½ππ½
