Third time dining here - first in a while, but it was a good experience. All the savoury dishes from entrée to mains were delicious. My favourite would have to be the shiitake and eggplant tempura and the murray cod. It was light and crunchy. The pork belly and wagyu was very tender and flavourful too. In terms of dessert, I was disappointed to not see the Goma St. on the menu - That dessert was outstanding! I wasn’t a big fan of the dessert with the crescent-shaped meringue as it had an alcoholic base, which didn’t leave a pleasant aftertaste in my mouth. The caramel macchiato(not pictured) was ok, although it was a bit rich for my liking. Staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Overall a delightful third time visit.

Overall disappointing and under average meal at Sokyo. We were planning to go for a while and were able to book last minute yesterday. This comes to show how not busy the place is. The food was average with only one dish that stood out (ravioli) and not so amazing sushi. They also don’t validate the parking which is a bit cheeky. Service was friendly and attentive but also a bit amateur and I did expect more for these prices. We spent over $150 pp and still left hungry, and unimpressed. Plenty of better Japanese restaurants around Sydney.

Had lunch here at the end of Dec. Everything we had was amazing, I was really impressed with the shiitake & eggplant tempura. However, the service was a bit disappointing. The staff seem nice but for this price range I would expect better...our drinks arrived late but there was no communication about it...If we were paying $30pp I'm not bothered at all but we paid $100 pp...

Food was okay. However, the biggest issue was the service. I waited for a waiter to take my order for more than 15 minutes, and no one checked if everything was okay. I did enjoy the taste of the M9 wagyu beef, but I had to wait for someone to take my order. The 186 Muan package included dessert, and then I was asked again if I wanted the dessert menu, which was very surprising. The food quality was not up to par, and the service needs improvement. At the end, when checking the bill, the waiter mentioned passing our feedback to the manager, though it's unclear if this was actually done. Overall, this experience only deserves 3 stars, and I'm quite disappointed with the service.

Great service and delicious food. The menu was more extensive than I expected with a range of raw and cooked meal options. There was also a good selection of saké to complement the meal.
