Beg, borrow, or steal to get one of the lofted suites at Ovolo Woolloomooloo—they are seriously cool. Airy, stylish, and packed with plenty of hip design touches, these suites even come with 1.5 baths (because who doesn’t need that in a hotel room?). Storage is fantastic, with two closets and a plethora of hangers, so even over-packers are covered. The hotel oozes cool factor, from the modern decor to the unbeatable location—plenty of nightlife and great restaurants within walking distance. Plus, you get front-row seats to watch a Bond villain (or at least someone who looks the part) take his boat Prometheus out to the bay to do evil. A couple of pro tips: the rooms can run warm, so don’t just lower the thermostat—make sure the AC is actually on. And don’t miss the free self-serve candy bar at the elevator, which makes returning to your room a literal treat. Valet parking was a breeze—at least, I assume so, since I never actually saw the valet. I just handed my rental car keys to the friendly front desk staff, and it magically reappeared when needed. Overall, an excellent stay with friendly and accommodating service. Highly recommended, especially if you can snag one of those lofted suites!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ovolo Woolloomooloo, and it was an absolutely outstanding experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel’s unique design, stunning waterfront location, and vibrant yet relaxing atmosphere. A special thank you to Fernanda and Jose for their exceptional attention to detail and top-notch customer service. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. In particular, Jose was incredibly helpful in coordinating the purchase of a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my wife’s birthday, ensuring that the surprise was perfect. His thoughtfulness and dedication to guest satisfaction were truly commendable. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, the complimentary perks like snacks and drinks were a great touch, and the overall experience was nothing short of fantastic. The hotel’s location made it easy to explore Sydney’s best attractions while still enjoying a peaceful retreat. I highly recommend Ovolo Woolloomooloo to anyone looking for a mix of luxury, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. I will start out that I don't give many reviews,however, I felt I had to do it in this instance. The hotel needs to have a maintenance check. The bed mattress had huge lumps, the bathroom sink kept dripping, and overall, there was an unclean feeling with all the little stains on the furniture and carpet. The main lobby area seems to have no AC, and when it's 100 degrees and you're walking around, you need some relief when you first enter the hotel. We decided to leave after one night. Oh, and yes, we looked at 2 other rooms. All the same. The good point is that all the people who work there are wonderful. However, this is far from being a 5 or even 4 star hotel.

Certainly a fantastic location with easy access to Potts point, the city centre, Botanical gardens, Gallaries and many great restaurants. Upon entering we were met with incredible decor and inviting spaces. Unfortunately, we couldn't say the same for our suit room. Bedroom and bathrooms are pretty squishy, you need to leave all of your luggage in the lounge area. Stairs in the apartment were ridiculously squeaky and loud. The TV upstairs was unusable as it showed everything as tinted bright green. Beds and pillows are so overly soft that a few nights here will wreck your neck. While the space itself was overall plentiful cleanliness was a big let down, you could definitely tell a deep clean hasn't happened in a while. Shower/bath were the biggest culprits, moldy and off putting, the couch was heavily stained and seems to have run out of padding some time ago. Service was pretty slow, took 3 days just to get a do not disturb sign (had to ask a few times) so our room was either left uncleaned or house keeping would turn up at unhelpful times. For a 5 star hotel it was disappointing.

One of the best hotel I’ve stayed. The receptionist are warm and very friendly. The room is amazingly spacious and well kept by the housekeeping team. I love the bed. Shower is great. Plenty of food options around the hotel. Some of the good restaurants is within walking distance. And also very convenient to go around. You can walk through the botanical gardens to Sydney Opera House.
