The only positive about this hotel is the location. Outdated rooms and decor despite recent renovations, not enough food at club lounge and breakfast buffet, rude manager and the list goes on! As an Accor Gold member, I wasn’t greeted and thanked for being loyal and choosing to stay at the hotel. We asked to check in earlier and wanted to pay if the room wasn’t ready to go into another category. As my status is gold I was upgraded to the next room type but was told the room wouldn’t be ready until 3pm and we had checked in at 9am I was told that occupancy was 90% and although there were rooms available it was a lower category than what we had booked for. We asked to swap in the different category room and was told no. The assistant manager came over and was so rude when we questioned him why we couldn’t take the different category room - he then said to me sarcastically“ do you want me to ask guests to leave their rooms just so you can check in earlier?!” Horrified by this behaviour I asked to refund my money and wanted to check out- he refused and said there would be no refund. Faced with a dilemma and now having to wait 6 hours for our room, we took our bags to concierge and we explained what happened- they were shocked to hear a manager spoke like this to a paying guest. We said we wanted a taxi to leave for another hotel and upon hearing this he immediately called reception , explained what had just happened and then confirmed that our room was being inspected and we should be in within the hour. Not sure why he was able to tell us the room would be ready soon compared to the manager advising a 6 hour wait. Regardless we were grateful to the concierge and he alone was the reason we stayed. We checked out after 2 nights due to the experience we had, the lack of food available and the old fashioned rooms. Disappointed with the experience and we won’t be staying here again in such an outdated establishment.

Stayed here for 2 weeks, everything here was perfect! Bedrooms were clean after room service, delicious food from the executive lounge, available for all times! Different snacks, beverages, and of course gluten free options. Staff, waiters, waitresses, chefs, receptionist, were all so respectful! From past hotels, they handled my luggage without care. Which is the opposite in this hotel. I had a fragile instrument inside of my luggage, and I was scared that it would break. But no. The guy on the ground floor was super nice and handled my luggage with pure awareness! Not breaking anything at all. View was amazing, gym was incredible, and food was good as well! Overall, my stay was amazing and if I would come back to Australia, Swissôtel would 100% be my first option. 5/5 from me!

Great hotel in the heart of Sydney. Rooms are delightful. Staff are exceptional. The gym is well equipped. The pool could be warmer but was pleasant in the afternoon when the sun bathed the area.

Primarily a five star hotel in price. Our original room was way below what I had paid for but was changed to the appropriate room after I communicate to management how disappointed I was. I felt they tried to cheat me. The Executive lounge was mixed with great and disappointing experiences. There are two things you should bring with you. First a chair to wait on during the long process of check in - to me it seemed like every customer was a new experience. Secondly another chair to take to put your clothes on should you wish to use the sauna, gym or pool. Being told by the separate business that runs the spa that locker keys to the locked lockers were only available for their clients I spent another twenty minutes at the reception desk to be told all I needed to do was asked the spa for a key. Stalemate. I canceled the future booking I had planned for this hotel and went somewhere else.

Beautiful hotel. Comfy beds, big bath. Staff are phenomenal. Very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Perfect location, on the Light Rail line/stop. Short walk to Darling Harbour. Great pool with bar service and food.
