While the location was very nice and the room was decent there was a number of issues. - Online check-in at 1pm was booked. When we arrived we were told that the room wouldn't be ready till around 3pm. Makes it a little hard with a tired baby. - No cot available as requested. Room service arrived at one point to make up the sofa bed, assuming this is their idea of a cot, to which I asked if he could come back in 20 minutes as my wife was breastfeeding on said couch. Room service never returned. - At one point there was a knock on the door, as I got up to go see who it was there was a person already making his way inside the room thinking the room was empty. This was not room service but appeared to be a supervisor or manager. - For dinner I ordered the steak off their online menu to which the waitress has obviously misunderstood and brought out another beef dish. The good: - The food here is on point. The wagyu burger is better than that of a specialty burger places. - The slow cooked beef was also amazing. Albeit small in size and expensive for what was on the plate. - Cocktails were also well done - The coffee is also decent for Sydney standards. In summary, we would come here again to dine but not so much to stay.

Very thoughtful touches in the room. Only complaint on the room is the bathroom doors, which we found a little awkward. Otherwise, the location was perfect, and the hotel has an amazing gym and delicious restaurant. It's right on the bay, with huge doors that welcome the outside in. Ample seating in the lobby and along the water. We walked to many great restaurants and the Opera house. Really loved our stay. Definitely recommend.

First impressions matter. I would have given this hotel a five star review, but my first experience was fumbled. Everything else was perfect! Their breakfast and bar service was impecable and the food and beverages awesome. They have a DJ come in on the weekends which gave the hotel a club like feel which was great. The room was spacious and the shower felt like Niagara Falls which I loved! I slept so soundly every night and enjoyed the hotel and Sydney so much! The location for me was perfect. I got some nice walks to the main wharf and when I didn’t feel like walking too much there was a bus stop close by. The transits as SO simply if you simply use your phone to pay; tap on and tap off. There was also a small grocery store nearby and a laundry facility; I was there two weeks so these were essentials. Again, would have been five stars so I’m sure my initial fumbled experience is an outlier and I will most likely stay here again the next time I get to Sydney.

This hotel vies for one of my two favorite hotels in Sydney. While the rooms are a bit on the smaller side, they’re comfortable, and the amenities, food, bar, location, etc is amazing. You can walk along the water, through parks, or sit by the dock and have a quiet evening. Most things you’d want to visit are a quick Uber ride away, as well.

Pier one is an amazing hotel that has a fantastic view of the Habour bridge and opera house. The hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and treated all guests very politely. The rooms are extremely spacious (high ceilings) and have a great pod coffee machine. If you have the opportunity to stay at Pier One, I highly recommend it.
