We had such a relaxing break here. What a beautiful place! I loved the smaller scale compared to larger resorts. We enjoyed the free tennis and spending time in the beautiful gardens. The lounges with fireplaces and the spots to sit on the verandah. I loved the historic feel of the place - so much nicer than a shiny new resort! Thanks for a great stay

Very much enjoyed our overnight stay. Our room was adequate and extremely clean. Breakfast was buffet style and everything was fresh and tasty. The gardens and surroundings are beautiful. The night was whisper quiet and the sky full of stars. We sat out on the porch with a bottle of red and just chilled. It's a lovely old building that only adds to the ambiance. We've already planned to come back for a weekend in autumn to give the 9 hole golf course a run.

My partner and I stayed a night with our small dog travelling through. We had a lovely experience. Check-in was simple and easy and the receptionist was very helpful. Our room was among other travellers with dogs, which I think is a great idea so that they are able to keep all guests happy. The room was very comfortable and clean. We tried some wines at Centennial Vineyards in the afternoon which were amazing and is walking distance. For dinner we ate in the restaurant - the food was lovely and the cocktails were yummy too. Of note, there is a covered area on the balcony that the staff reserve for people travelling with dogs, so we were able to have a lovely romantic evening and bring our dog as well which made our night. We will be looking to stay again sometime - the price was very reasonable as well. Thankyou!

Driving up the driveway you find a stunning old home surrounded by beautiful greenery, in a great location As you enter the hotel the renovated downstairs area has been transformed to a high end lounge / bar area. That is where the positives stop. Check in area is awkward with a low desk and your standing over the staff. No lifts to take up to you room luggage has to be carried. Now my first room. Walk in big room lots of light with old chipped plywood furniture. Bathroom was old and the toilet running constantly, the latch on the window was broken so the window didn’t close, we also had a broken lamp. I spoke to the receptionist and they “upgraded” me to a balcony room. Which was a much smaller room, with limited privacy because the balcony was a shared veranda. Bathroom vanity had no space to put personal toiletries. What should also be noted is the walls are paper thin and you can hear the people in the next room snoring. First breakfast at 9:30 not much food was left and I told no more fruit or yogurt was coming out that morning and that the hot food will be coming out in about 20minutes. Second day breakfast we went early and the food was available but lukewarm. Just not good enough. As I went to check out I would have loved to be able to discuss my concerns with the team, but I got told to drop my key in the box and completed the survey I would get sent. Meant to be Luxury, but I have stayed in backpackers that have had nicer amenities than this hotel. I would only go back to this hotel if they close the hotel and do a full renovation of all the room, then they can charge the “luxury” price I paid.

Staff was amazing. During my stay i have lost my ring. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find it, so I notified staff upon checking out. When I already lost my hope to find it, a weeks later I receive a call from the receptionist that they found my ring and they will send it to me ! How amazing, I just received the ring to my home now. This is amazing customer service, I really appreciate you went above and beyond to return my (not even expensive but very special) ring ! Thank you so much !
