In Sydney for a wedding. The Sebel Chatswood is brilliantly located. The hotel itself is in need of a refresh. The staff were generally good with one young lady (Tanya) proving to be truly outstanding! She was very helpful , polite, and patient, and sold us on Accor membership on arrival.

Long waits for staff assistance and check in. Room keys were given to us for a room that was not ready- beds not made, towels on floor etc, so we were told to leave our bags and do something while it gets cleaned. I had to chase down staff hours later around 5pm for an update. We were told it was almost ready. Went back up to find our bags and jewellery missing. Cleaning staff weren’t told to leave our bags in the room. Some of our things weren’t there when we got our bags back. We found them on the floor and seat at the bottom of the lift area. Not happy. A staff member said he would add breakfast for our troubles but it got switched without our consultation or knowledge to a bag of treats like popcorn. An extremely disappointing start to our stay. Rooms and location were great though. Lovely warm pool and spa.

The Sebel at Chatswood is conveniently located to all amenities, train and shops. However the premises are tired and getting well worn and old. I rented an apartment and while the view is wonderful and its was generally clean, curtains torn and faded, windows very dirty, all furniture and cupboards old, carpets worn, door did not lock properly, and dryer and oven did not work and no manuals available on use. The building obviously has permanent tenants as well with on my arrival a fellow coming into the lift with his fishing rods and catch of the day in a bucket - don't mind really but unusual.

Have been satisfied with the hotel location which is near to the metro station with a lot of amenities around the area. Room is well kept & clean. There is any daily room housekeeping for stay below 7 days but they will provide toiletries upon request. Overall we are satisfied with our stay.

Great location, close to train station and across the road to Westfields, good undercover parking for $30 a night … BUT… bed configuration was wrong on arrival, room and bathrooms were not clean, broken window, dishwasher broken and flooded kitchenette floor, fridge/freezer full of ice - had to chip ice away so the freezer door could close. Front desk staff very nice and apologetic but hotel is very tired.
