Reviews for Chin Chin Sydney

I had lunch with a colleague; the meal was tasty yet expensive, and the servings were modest. The ambiance was pleasant, although the music was so loud that I had to raise my voice to place an order and converse with my companion. The service was decent. Despite these issues, the food was outstanding overall.

Oyster NamJim ($7.50ea): 6/10 Kingfish Sashimi ($34.50): 8/10 Tuna Tartare ($31.50): 6/10 Beef Short Rib ($43.50): 9/10 Massaman Curry ($39.50): 6/10 Apple Pie ($17.50): 7.5/10 Thai Tea Brulee ($18.50): 8/10 COCKTAILS Electric Paradise ($24): 7/10 Watermelon Sugar ($24): 5/10 Stardust Spritz ($24): 8/10 Second time coming to Chin Chin and enjoyed the food much more. When I went the first time we had a group of 8 were we had to order a set menu which didn't allow us to order the items we wanted. However coming with a smaller group allowed us to choose a range of dishes. For entree I would recommend the kingfish sashimi, as the oysters weren't fresh and tuna tartare needed an extra element. The beef short ribs were incredible, as the meat fell of the bone, with the accompanying sauce and salad matched perfectly to the meal. The massaman curry was disappointing as the gravy was bitter and was not as enjoyable as the ribs. Would highly recommend the desserts which we ordered as both tasted amazing with the right amount of sweetness. For cocktails the Stardust Spritiz was the best one from the three we bought as it was both refreshing and sweet.

Every dish we had was amazing, including the desserts. It's quite pricey though, and our main issue was finding it difficult to get a waiter's attention. It took a long time for our group of four to get served despite the restaurant being mostly empty. Overall I would still recommend visiting just because the food is so good.

Too busy enjoying the food and forgot to take photos until the end. Vegetarian option amazing. Curry and love the sides of cauliflower and beans. Kingfisher entree amazing. Only thing was I thought music was too loud. Especially for the demographic of mainly 40+ crowd

An iconic, modern, asian fusion style restaurant! The atmosphere is vibrant and colourful with quirky wall art. The dishes are beautifully presented and the customer service is friendly, attentive and professional. Great for work lunches catering to small to large groups, an after work drink or date night. Highly recommended and will come back again!
