Reviews for The Norfolk

We love the Norfolk hotel and the drinks are great, the backyard space is an awesome place to sit. We had a really good steak and kids schnitzel. The kingfish unfortunately came with a terrible cous cous that had SO much salt it was inedible. I did reach out to the venue to let them know privately to check the recipe / quality control but no response.

Pretty nice, relaxing vibe inside with the comfy chairs and beachy umbrellas. Can't fault the happy hour from 4-6 pm! The only main cause of the disappointment was the burnt tacos we were served as part of their Taco Tuesday offering ($5 a piece). Wasn't that flavorful and a bit dry, sorry :( We also got the eggplant dip as an entree which was decent albeit a small serving. Service was nice and courteous. Happy to come back just for the drinks.

Totally alright. It's been done up, so it's pretty out the back. The portion sizes vary wildly. Spending in the mid-20s for a lunch can get you a giant serve with heaps of chips or something dainty and 'modern'. Not everyone in my party was pleased. I'm happy enough, I go when others go. But it's not my top spot.

Dropped in for a shared pre lunch after a busy morning of moving. We got the Mezze share plate and Salt and Pepper squid. What we got were super tasty, fresh and served with a smile (in the eyes, as the crew still need to wear masks) meals along with a chilled Sunday house soundtrack. Awesome place to hang out and the food is excellent. The aoili matched with the squid was so good. Thick slices of smoked salmon went well with the baba ghanoush and tzatziki dips. (Could've done with a tad more pita bread) Thanks for the great vibe! We will be back!

Tucked away at the back of this pub on Cleveland Street is an oasis with beach umbrellas and relaxing vibes. We grabbed a quick bite to eat here, washed down with a couple of Newtowners and was not disappointed. Staff are really nice and the food was delicious. Will definitely stop by here again next time we’re in Sydney.
