There’s nothing like live music! Foundry 616 is a cozy little jazz club, perfect for a meal, a glass and some live music. Many have forgotten what it feels like experiencing the energy in the room of a bunch of live musicians. Exhilarating! Highly recommended! Enjoy!

Solid Jazz place although a bit plain when you compared to traditional jazz ones. It is not particularly big and one drawback is that they have a long couch vertically towards the stage so if you sit there, you do not have much space to look at the stage, so you have to turn your head around (as opposed to individual tables with chairs). Food was ok, better than expected but the portions for their prices tiny. I had the steak and it had literally a table spoon quantity of mash potatoes, one diced carrot and two asparagus pieces. Sounds system was good and the stuff very polite although the service was a bit slow.

Great live jazz. Food was very ordinary. It would probably be better to offer a bar snack type menu (gyozas, sliders etc) rather than full meals.

The tables are so small and on top of each other that you feel your at a group dinner. Ordered a tomato soup so tasteless and a meat platter which was so uninspiring it was sad. The steak medium was tough and everything was badly presented. All you need is fresh produce and basic cooking skills to improve. Please try to give us satisfaction for the 58/- dollars per person you charge. Btw the pictures on the menu do not reflect correctly the actual dish.

TLDR; Come for the entertainment, and get refreshments and food elsewhere. Food 0/5 I ordered a Margherita pizza and waited 40 minutes for a heated-up frozen pizza with oregano. The pizza base had the consistency of cardboard. Drinks 1/5 I started with gin and tonic. No ice and the tonic was flat. I tried to get a beer; however, nothing was available on tap. When I asked about the one beer tap that wasn't covered by a metal bucket, the bartender responded with covering it like the rest. To clarify, no one had ordered a beer yet. I moved on to a rum and coke. I was given whiskey instead. When I asked for it to be remade, I was given the option of bourbon until I asked for the Sailor Jerry behind them. On the bright side, a mixed drink was $10. Entertainment 3/5 Poorly organised, no mention of the start time. They arrived after doors opened yo perform the sound check. The performance itself was good. Set ended at 11pm on weeknight meaning all public transport has ceased for the night. Venue 2/5 For having a stage with lots of lights and equipment that produces a significant amount of heat, the air-conditioning was struggling. The system is ancient and not designed for the modern day audience. However, the venue did well not to over pack the tables. So it doesn't feel claustrophobic. In addition the ambience of the music was a good vibe.
