It's a shame that the artist who played last night was outstanding but the service was TERRIBLE. We ordered three plates to share, the chips, the wedges and the black beam hummus and it took them an hour to prepare those, while people that came way after us were ordering and receiving their food. I'd definitely not recommend going to that place.

There’s nothing like live music! Foundry 616 is a cozy little jazz club, perfect for a meal, a glass and some live music. Many have forgotten what it feels like experiencing the energy in the room of a bunch of live musicians. Exhilarating! Highly recommended! Enjoy!

Came to check out some live jazz. Got there a bit early. Doors open at 6 and band was supposed to go on at 8:30. We got there about 7:45. Place was totally empty and band was doing sound check. Opening "band" was essentially the guitarist from the main act basically improvising for 30 minutes. I felt bad for the musicians because between the band, the sound man and the bartender, and their friends, that was more than 50 percent of the place. Because it was so empty and we were totally disinterested in the solo guitarist improvising, we stepped to the back of the room so we could talk. Sound man told us to be quiet. (?) Excuse me but they don't shush us in New Orleans when the Marsalis' are playing. It's a jazz club for goodness sake. Finally the main act came on and they were pretty good thank goodness so all was not lost. I just think if you charge a cover, and we have to walk up to the bar to order our pricey drinks, and we are the biggest group in the house and were there the longest, and we had the courtesy to move away from the stage to chat, you don't get to shush us. We can't help that there is no one there! And they were promoting to come for dinner before the show! They didn't even play music between the acts or after the sound check. Really poorly run place. Too bad. Nice stage, space, and sound system.

Great to have a jazz venue. It is a shame it is this venue... None of the staff know how to smile, I mean none of them. Drinks were ordinary at best. Food was disappointing, they ran out of wedges, and we were the only ones who ordered them! The Cherry Cake was dry, burnt on the outside and when we asked for cream with it we were told that it would be extra. We were then told that they were not serving coffee that night. We then saw them serving an affogato to the table next to us. When I asked about the coffee in that we were then offered the opportunity to have a coffee... Still no smiles from any of them. Bit of a spoiler to a night out.

Great little jazz venue hidden on a corner of a building on Harris St in Pyrmont. The place was packed, food was tasty - porterhouse steak w/mash, carrots and mushroom sauce. Didn't take a photo, too busy chowing it down! The band was professional and entertaining. The lead singer Claire Fahie had a fabulous voice turning everyday music you'd know, into jazzy tunes. Thoroughly enjoyed this night out with 7 friends. Would be going again in the future. We bought a ticket which includes show and dinner. Good value.
