SCAM ALERT: STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS NYE FIREWORKS CRUISE! This so-called "all-inclusive" cruise is an absolute rip-off and a nightmare from start to finish. I regret every cent of the $800 I wasted on this disaster, especially since I traveled from far away for what was supposed to be a special night. Here’s what you’re signing up for if you book: 1. Chaotic Boarding: Total madness. Security staff were clueless, and the organization was non-existent. 2. Overcrowding: They sell more tickets than the boat can even handle! You’ll be crammed in like sardines. 3. Terrible Design: The boat isn’t even suitable for watching fireworks or hosting events. The inside is stiflingly hot, and there’s nowhere comfortable to enjoy the view. 4. Mediocre Food and Drinks: The food was barely passable, and the drinks? You’ll wait forever for a tiny cup of something halfway decent. But here’s the absolute worst: They lied about the VIP tickets! They sold overpriced "rooftop" and "dining table" tickets with promises of special access. Guess what? The rooftop was overcrowded in 10 minutes, and they shut it off to everyone—even the people who paid extra for it! Imagine paying more and getting less. SCAM. Oh, and the captain? Incompetent. He couldn't even position the boat correctly for the midnight fireworks. We missed the first minutes because he was busy figuring out how to steer the boat. This cruise is a complete trainwreck run by people who only care about squeezing money out of you. If you value your time, money, and sanity, STAY AWAY. Tell everyone you know to avoid this scam!

Boarded the John Cadman boat for a Boxing Day harbour cruise to watch the start of the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. The cruise departed some 20mins late, from a differently assigned wharf, and returned around 20mins early. Ship was registered to carry 450 passengers, but crew said they expected 500 passengers. There is not enough seating for everyone, so standing for over 2.5hrs. Food and drink was included, but the queues to get food was extra long. I have included a photo of a blocked emergency exit. The cruise stopped well away from the race start line, so most of the action was off in the distance. Price charged was $175 per head, so probably not good value for what was delivered.

What a disappointment and a total rip off! II am disgusted. • No meet and greet between 11 and 11.20am as stated in email. At 11.25 someone came and yelled something out to the crowd about boat leaving from different wharf so we all had to move wharves after the scanning of our tickets. It was chaotic. • Boat not as pictured in all advertising leading up to cruise — COMPLETELY BLACK, more like an army tank. See photo of what we booked and what turned up. We were incredibly disappointed by this false advertising. This was to be a very special event for us having travelled 3 hours to get there. The boat is part of the atmosphere created. In all the ads for tickets they advertised a boat with a blue bottom and a white top. Why? Because nobody would have bought a ticket if the real boat was in the ads? We definitely would not have as there were other cruises to choose from. • No welcome drink. A welcome drink is a drink someone hands you on arrival at a venue rather than one you have to queue for. It states 'a glass of premium Australian sparkling'. We never laid eyes on this. • Boat left wharf 15 minutes late. This time was not made up at end of cruise. In fact it also returned 15 minutes or more early. We were so late leaving the dock that we ended up being way back from the race so definitely not prime viewing. • Dreadful atmosphere inside boat —completely black, stinking hot and dark. • Nowhere to sit on upper deck and no shade. We had to stand for the whole 2.5 hours (have been 3). Trying to eat standing up and swaying did not add to the atmosphere on the cruise. Plate in one hand, fork in the other, forget the knife to cut the food with if nowhere to put the plate down. There were no seats left either downstairs. In fact there were some people sitting on the floor!!! • Only one whie wine available — Chardonnay. No tonic to go with gin. Some drinks not even cold. • Only meat available was chicken drumettes. Prawns ran out as did whatever other meat was in tray. I believe it was beef. They definitely should take the word "gourmet" out of their ad because it definitely wasn’t. Nobody announced that food was even being served. The words 'luxury',' relaxation', 'sophistication' 'in style', 'premium vessel', 'glass or premium Australian sparkling', ' premium selection of beer, red and white wine' and 'relax in stylish, comfortable surroundings' all give the impression of luxury. I'm sorry but this just isn't the boat that we were on. Clearly deceitful advertising to sell tickets. If you are thinking about going on one of their cruises — DON’T. If you went on one and feel the same as I do then go to Fair Trading not just Google reviews.

Very disappointed from the start! Supposed to board at 11.30am at Wharf 6, Then told to go to wharf 3 once scanned by one poor staff member scanning hundreds of people. The boat was nothing like the picture when we booked, have a look at the photos for comparison. It was very old and painted over heaps of rust. No air conditioning which was ok once we started moving. Left 15 minutes late arrived back at least 15 mins early. Food was ordinary and not enough seating. Staff were excellent. Very deceptive advertising and not worth the money.

Amazing cruise for vivid. 360 degree views of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the drone show. A live dj on the rooftop gave an amazing vibe and patrons were having a boogie. Quick bar service and lovely staff. A variety of food and drink options available. An awesome time on board Cadman Cruises
