Reviews for Sails Port Macquarie

I stayed up there with my partner in the week before Christmas. The location is amazing, just outside of Port Macquarie but on the river. The facilities are well-maintained and great. The rooms are large and well appointed. I highly recommend getting the river view. Would definitely return in future. Just be aware that this is more a family resort so if you’re looking for a quiet couple getaway, with some quiet couples time beside the pool perhaps reconsider as my partner and I found it hard to get a swim without being swamped by fun seeking little ones. My only bit of advice is to avoid the restaurant there, which is a separate business so I’ve rated separately, as the menu is limited and the food not quite up to the price it is charged at. There are plenty of other cheaper, better places to eat nearby.

We have been travelling down the east coast and was just popping by for a stop off. Best decision we made! Superb staff (loved meeting a fellow Pom called Vick!) Saw dolphins as we walked along the coastal path. A dream come true! A fantastic “real” Australian vibe. Going to be a difficult place to leave. Thank you Sails 😍

The hotel is in a beautiful location with nice views out of the room, has a very nice pool for the kids, buffet breakfast was a win. The rooms however are dated, tired looking and shabby. We wouldn’t book here again unless the rooms brought up to a better standard and in line with the current price charged.

Loved our stay at sails Port Macquarie. Beds are super comfy pool is great staff are helpful. Beautiful spot. A tad expensive for what it is and we had to pay $10 for outdoor parking.

This resort is one of our family favourites. Been staying coming here for the family Christmas holidays for the past 3 years. Rooms are very clean, the bar and the restaurant are great. The location is superb with it being on the water with a great swimming pool complete great water views. Has a pontoon with free kayaks supplied by the hotel and also a great fishing spot for the kids. Walking distance to everything. Definitely the best spot to stay at in Port Macquarie.
