I had a really good time at cargo bar & eatery! I was there on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but we got a table right away outside. It was interesting how you order your food at the table via scanning the QR code and you don’t order with a server. I had an issue with getting my phone number to work which took a while to fix… I wanted to get some water and I was told it’s by the front so I went to get some, but the water fountain/machine is the slowest thing I have ever seen before. If you want to fill up a glass of water, expect to wait a while. The water was cool but definitely not cold. It would’ve been nice to have some ice with it. To eat, I ordered the margarita pizza and fish and chips. Both were excellent and I would order them again. The fries were cooked perfectly, good amount of salt. Fish was perfect, didn’t have a fishy taste. Pizza was extremely thin and tasted home made/wood oven cooked!

Pleasant location, but the River smells a bit, maybe they burn some incense to mask this? There were deck chairs overlooking the river, and it got busy quickly. Very quick, polite service. Ordering via QR code, saves time. Corn riblets highly recommended. Green salad was fresh, but had a lot of oil. Spicy chicken pizza, soggy centre with blackened edges and not much chicken. Dessert was amazing! Made up for the pizza. Highly recommend the strawberry sorbet!
Where's the sauce?
Some friends and I came here after not being able to find a last minute dinner place. We were able to get a table on a Saturday night which was great. Nice menu, like a fancier pub style. Pizza was great, paella was outstanding 👌🏿 fish and beef tacos were light and really tasty! Great range of drinks too! Perfect spot for a catch up. Nice outdoor area with water views and tables with shade. Service was hit and miss. Depending who came to our table.

We ate dinner at this Bar and Eatery and enjoyed our time there. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the food was great. The views over Victoria Harbour were lovely while we ate. It was a nice experience on the first night of a city break.

Great food, great location, average service. Had a chicken pizza and corn ribs, both very good. Some areas for improvement however. On arrival we were asked in or outside, and selected inside and was pointed to a table near the window. A guy brought over some water and said nothing. Not, "hello how are you, have you been here before, you can order using the app or with the waiter". So after 10 mins waiting for a paper menu I got up and grabbed one from the counter. Then navigated the app which would not allow placing an order without first giving my phone number, and then would not display a receipt without an email address. This is just a con to grab your data. You do not need to give a phone number or email when using a waiter. Then of course comes the stupid weekend surcharge. Completely unnecessary. But very good food and setting.
