We stayed a week here and enjoyed our stay. The hotel very kindly upgraded us to a loft room and left a bottle of wine for us too. The loft rooms are spacious and have a great view of the city. The beds are really comfortable, great air con and comfy sofa to lounge around watching TV. The sweets in the lobby are greatly appreciated! The staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming with the rooms cleaned daily. Only downside I have is to pay that little bit of extra care with cleaning/maintenance as we found hairs in the bathroom which weren’t ours and just general touch ups to the paint and the bathrooms. Some sealant was failing and our shower had a leaking pipe with it taped up quite poorly. Despite the above we had a great time and would stay again. Be aware the location whilst close to the CBD, Botanical Garden and Opera House it’s not on any of the tram/train lines so when our feet hurt after exploring miles it was a personal struggle on the feet with a lot of stairs and steep-ish roads to walk.

Lovely venue and hotel. Styling is beautiful Our daughter was unwell and as a precaution we took her to the a&e. They easily gave us extended check out and prepared a take away breakfast for us as we missed the service. The best addition was the laundry facilities- it is supper useful- especially as we had a toddler with us. For a hotel not totally designed for toddlers, more adults. They definitely catered well for them/ including a cute babycino 🥰

Twice as much money. Half as much fun. I have stayed at this hotel regularly since 2004. My most recent experience has been most disappointing. Gone is the free mini bar. The room rate is 40% higher. For dog lovers notwithstanding the premium we paid for our dog there was no bed provided, no water and no doggie treat (these used to be part of the package). our room was not available when we arrived which was fair enough as check in time is 2pm. We left our belongings and car assuming it would be looked after. Our car was left unlocked in the street with my wife’s mobile phone in the centre console. When we came back at 2.30 pm still no room. This was my favorite hotel but is not what it used to be. There are better options elsewhere for the price.

The hotel itself was stunning on the inside. Beautiful designs and great food. That being said, my room was in a state of disrepair with 3 large holes left from where it looked like there was a leak upstairs at some point and never got properly patched up (pictured is the nicest of the 3). The toilet paper was barely attached to the wall, and the Alexa didn't work. Blankets had crusty stains on them, and the AC barely worked, but when it did, you could hear it loudly buzzing. On top of that, my key stopped working, and I had to have it reprogrammed 3 separate times. Even better, the staff walked in twice without knocking, once by a guy while I was in the bath. He just stared at me for a couple of seconds and then left. The location is great. It's only a few minutes' walk from the gardens and them the Opera house. Overall, it was rather disappointing for a 5 star hotel, but a great venue for weddings or to stay while visiting nearby attractions. Finally, make sure you book through a third party. The hotel itself will charge around 4 times as much as they will.

They allowed us to bring our dog last minute and we are so grateful. I’d children are allowed so should dogs ( in my opinion ) in a great spot and the rooms are just the right size. The hotel itself is lovely. A little bit pricey but other than that a wonderful experience
