I'm glad we had our wedding here. Highly recommended. The staff were very professional and very prompt in responding to any questions that we had. They were very helpful to our guests. The coordinators, Irene, Isabella, Jasmine and Anju, helped us from the beginning. They were very welcoming and generous when we first inspected the venue and explained in a lot of details on how they organise the event. The food was great. There are a lot of options. The portions were just right, and no one had any complaints about the taste.

My husband was the one who suggested Dockside/L'Aqua for our reception, and as soon as we walked in for the site visit we were pretty much sold on having our reception here. The Gold Room is a beautiful and unique space that was perfect for our guest numbers. Watching the Darling Harbour fireworks from the Room's balcony was a memorable experience for guests (especially those from.interstate and overseas) and made for great photos. The package they offered was great value with the inclusion of a DJ (who set the vibe for our night and got guests up and dancing once formalities were over) and we could even supply our own spirits. From the start, L'Aqua were so easy to deal with. Julia answered all our initial questions, and Irene, our Venue coordinator, was really helpful and accommodating even with our last-minute requests! I found the venue to be flexible, and staff on the night were really attentive to all. A huge shoutout to Anju (venue manager) for being so welcoming and friendly - my husband and I really appreciated it 😊 The food was tasty, nicely presented, and portions were abundant - no one left hungry that's for sure. A lot of guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food, fireworks, and the beautiful space. I highly recommend the Dockside Group and their venue spaces to anyone looking to celebrate an occasion!

Knowing that the bride and groom gave your team plenty of notice to prepare a decent vegan / vego meal, to only then be served a bit of chopped tomato and avo for an entree is absolutely despicable and not excusable in late 2023. You are in the heart of Sydney, where there are many individuals who eat a plant based diet yet you show so much incompetence to put a half acceptable plant based entree up. How hard is it to serve up a beetroot hummus dip with some fancy crackers with a chickpea fritter or even just some veg spring rolls with a sweet chilli sauce?

We had our wedding in L’Aqua Gold Room last weekend and couldn’t be happier with how everything went. The service from the staff from the very time we reached out via email was prompt and efficient with both Julia and Isabella getting back to us quickly with each request. Their all inclusive wedding packages make it really easy to budget for with no hidden extras, and instead some bonus inclusions. Our event coordinator in the lead up to our wedding day (Irene) was also very prompt and efficient with email and phone communications and made the process highly organised and stress free. The staff on the night provided exceptional service, especially Anju who was so lovely and attentive and went out of her way to check in with us throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed and more. There were wine and champagne bottles for us in the bridal room, along with extra platters of canapés for us. The view is fantastic, the food was incredible and I highly rate the venue overall. The 9pm fireworks right outside the terrace overlooking Darling Harbour were so beautiful and such a nice surprise for our guests. We couldn’t be happier about how the day and night went. We also didn’t feel rushed out at the end of the night when our guests were a little slow to leave. The security staff on the night was also really lovely although I can’t remember her name. I wouldn’t hesitate to have another event there in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a wedding or special event. Had a work Christmas lunch function here recently in the Gold Room. Friendly staff and nice views of the harbour from the balcony area (which has plenty of area to stand on for group photos). Plenty of glass windows for natural light. The food and cocktails were more average though.
