Reviews for Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains

Our plan was to bush walk and explore the blue mountains…the kids didn’t want to leave the resort! We had a terrific time. Our first time away as a family with 3 young kids. The resort is perfect for families. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool, play areas, basketball court and ice skating. We really liked the casual vibe of the sublime lounge in the lobby. The staff were helpful and friendly. We felt very relaxed during our stay.

Relaxing Family Getaway Our extended family booked 4 rooms and all of them were very comfortable and clean, including the pet friendly room. We had a lovely time exploring the gardens and enjoyed many of the facilities including the sauna, pool, gym, ice ring and tennis courts. As the resort is very family friendly, small kids are up early in the morning and can be noisy walking down the hallway to the lifts. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff. Informative and helpful. Excellent facilities. Perfect for families with young kids. Nice golf facilities. Budget friendly. Comfortable rooms. Didn’t get a chance to have anything to eat but it would have been nice as well

Booked a weekday getaway. Got a king bed room with heater not functional. It was 12C. Called the front desk, they sent 2 mechanics who were trying to fix the AC unit. Said it cant be fixed and gave us a small coil heater. They offered to change the room. All this took almost an hour. New room was a bit more spacious but had stains on the carpet, blanket and mattress was very uncomfortable and the exhaust vents in toilet was extremely dusty. Side room walls are so thin that we could hear literally everything that they were talking and loud noises kept us awake upto 10-11pm after a tiring day of travel. On the good side, the resort boasts plenty of natural walks and activities. Overall ambiance is top notch. Amazing place to capture images and spend time in natural luxury. Morning brekky was also decent and had quite good options to choose from. Since it was our anniversary, we regret loosing that 1hr of maintenance and hassle of moving rooms. Apart from that, it was a decent stay.

Having a few nights to kill I booked the Fairmont to get out of the city and enjoy the Blue Mountains. My room was fine. (Not a fan of shower in a bath). But room was clean, bed comfortable. However I was very annoyed to see dining and evening drinks options were limited. Getting into the restaurant required a booking, the cafe ceased doing food and drinks far too early and the doctors whisky bar was closed 2 of the 4 nights I was there. In room dining was constantly touted as a solution but came with a tray surcharge. If this is the only option the surcharge should be waived. An email I sent to the front desk also went without reply. I would not recommend the Fairmont.
