I came in for a function on Saturday night and realised today that I had lost a really sentimental gold bracelet of mine. I called today and spoke with their head office and visited around 9pm. They checked the cameras twice for me and ended up finding my bracelet and I couldn’t be more thankful to everyone, but especially Matt who found it! So grateful that this establishment took my call seriously and that I have my bracelet back! Will be coming back for a celebratory drink :)

Absolutely in love with this place!! Beer was good, food was great, cocktails on spot, but the best part was definitely the staff! Everyone was so helpful and bubbly, specially the bartender named Sarah and the manager Irene, they are angels on earth 🫶

Lovely looking old pub. Unfortunately we recently had a bad experience last Sunday around 4pm. Be careful while ordering classic cocktails in the main bar. I ended up paying $28 for a pre-mixed Negroni poured from a no-name dodgy looking bottle a - la Jungle Juice. Staff could not have any less motivation making the drinks and mumbled in reply that normal cocktails are only served upstairs. Won't go back.

Timeless historical pub a point 👉  of reunion and happiness for many alike......  don't forget it's got a BACKDOOR entrance aswell as can be accessed from the front.....

Great place, chill vibe, cool peeeps. Only slight negative if anything is that there are lots of stairs (3 flights) so take it easy on the way down!

John and Merivale Hemmes originally had an iconic fashion retail space here in the sixties and seventies and the bar pays tribute to them.
