Reviews for Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour

There were really only two positive things about this apartment hotel. Firstly, the location is excellent for easy walking to everything in the city including public transport and secondly, the double-glazed doors make it very quiet despite the close location to the surrounding busy roads. And that is where it ends... The rooms are very old, tired and dated. The floors are lumpy and wonky under smelly, old, worn and loose carpet - in the apartment as well as in the hallways. The TV is incredibly old and tiny as other reviews have mentioned - probably original. Our apartment was very musty smelling on our arrival at about 6pm and the balcony doors had been left open, presumably in an attempt to air out. This meant that about 20 mosquitos were now in the apartment and we spent the next 24 hours getting rid of them. The bed was very firm/hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was in bad condition with peeling silicon, etc around the bath/shower. And as other reviews have mentioned the bath is very high and wide making getting in and out challenging in the least. We were glad that neither of us are more than 6 feet tall because the ceiling was so low you could easily touch it while in the shower. Horrible place and I would not stay there again until it is completely renovated.

The apartment was adequate for our 8 night stay, but agree with many other reviews the rooms were very "tired " and in need of some maintenance. Kitchen facilities were OK and a bonus to have a washing machine and dryer but shower an issue with such a high bath to step over and no safety rail. Towels etc were changed daily. Desk staff were friendly. The location was perfect for the many Darling Harbour attractions and fabulous eateries.

I give 2 stars because I was checked in by a friendly receptionist and had clean sheets. I don’t mind that the room is incredibly old. I mind that it stinks. There was a musty, mouldy smell that was so pungent I had to sleep next to the sliding door and keep it open all night. It was not properly cleaned - there was dirt ingrained throughout and the bathroom had been loosely wiped over. When I turned on the basin tap the smell of sewage came up through the waste pipe. I just avoided sitting on the sofa altogether, or touching the floor with bare feet. I have stayed here before and it was as bad. Imagine how brilliant this could be if it was given an upgrade and properly maintained; the location is fantastic.

Great place to stay when visiting Sydney. The location is fantastic and is within a very short walk to Darling Harbour, restaurants, attractions and public transport. Rooms are well equipped and have everything you need. Was also very surprised at how quiet the rooms are (with doors closed) considering how close you are to some major roads. Will definently stay here again next time we are in Sydney.

The rooms are totally rundown . TV’s are from the 1990’s . My room had walls with repairs that had not been painted over so it looked like a war zone. Carpets were stained and totally wrecked. Bath /shower was just a high sided bath which for elderly or impaired people could be quite dangerous to get in and out of . When you are paying close to $400 a night you expect better. Won’t be staying here again.
