Reviews for Zaffi Sydney

Had a great experience with dinner, beautiful food, quick service. We ordered a bunch of starters instead of a main, and food was seasoned to perfection. Kudos to their sticky date style desert. One of the best I’ve had. Julia, the waitress on their upper level where we had dinner, went far and beyond to make our night enjoyable with menu recommendation and tips of how to best enjoy their club. Thanks Julia, that made our night! The vibes when the drums started was contagious, and a great experience for those not familiar with Lebanese entertainment; we didn’t stay much downstairs though once it is not well ventilated and it became too hot for us.

Fantastic middle eastern food-the circular bread with dips was so full of flavour. We loved the lamb and the tomatoe salad with feta and cawliflower were excellent. Some of Sydney’s best middle eastern food. Delicious. And great mocktails.

I don’t like to write negative reviews, but my recent experience at Zaffi Saturday night was unacceptable. The venue was packed well beyond a reasonable capacity, making it difficult to move, let alone enjoy a meal or drinks. People were compressed shoulder-to-shoulder, and the noise level was overwhelming. It felt more like a fire hazard than a safe dining or clubbing environment. The place was also messy – tables uncleared, floors sticky, and staff very visibly overwhelmed. I understand busy nights happen, but this went beyond busy; it was mismanaged and most likely a typical Saturday night for them Definitely not the night out I hoped for. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place until they seriously rethink their capacity and cleanliness standards. Charging $120 per head for dinner, plus extra for drinks.. food was nice & only saving grace…but overall experience terrible. Being knocked on head, back & chair being moved every few minutes…so many people breaking glass and staff struggling to get to it to clean up…They missed one of the deserts on the menu, but would not reason or understand the omission due to their apparent distress…& being overwhelmed by the sheer number of attendees and no room to move..staff after dinner s finished move tables and chairs out to turn place to a club all whilst paying customers are unreasonably awfully stacked against each other .. also as more customers are allowed in for the clubbing experience....in the excessively tight space…only one fire egress as well… wonder which national standards have been applied… Definitely a recipe for disaster , safety compromised to make extra cash for the operators!!

Their Express Menu is excellent value as it includes 7 dishes so you can try a bit of everything. I really enjoyed every bite of it, especially the oven baked bread & Tuna Fatteh. Love the pink vibe here.

We went to Zaffi with our entire work team and it was an absolutely amazing experience! It's hands down one of our favorite spots in Sydney — the best Lebanese food in the city, no question. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. But what really made our night unforgettable was the incredible service from Jo. He went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and we truly appreciated every detail. We’ll definitely be back — this place has become our go-to for celebrating important moments like end-of-month or quarter closings, and even birthdays. Highly recommend Zaffi if you're looking for authentic food, amazing vibes, and top-notch service!
