The first impression we had when we walked into this hotel was that it was immaculately clean. The receptionists were very friendly and helped me, even with the silliest of questions. The bedroom was very tidy and well presented and Iwe really appreciated the Christmas card and gift they left for us. The pool is very nice and clean. The sauna is nice and hot. We really enjoyed it. We loved every aspect of our experience with this hotel, including the buffet breakfast! And, we really appreciated being able to leave our luggage in their secure lock up long after we checked out, while we went sightseeing Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel and we will be back.

Upon checking in I noted we were not offered the same information as those next to us were receiving from the person who checked them in (no breakfast location, offer of additional key, etc...). As we're fairly seasoned travellers we knew to ask if need be. Once in our room, it appeared clean and was spacious. When using the bathroom for the first time we noticed there was no hand soap and so I went to reception and was quickly given some along with an apology. We slept well, was able to control the A/C easily, and the blinds kept out most of the morning light. If a softer mattress is your preference, then you'll love this king size bed. Breakfast was included in our room price, and was quite good with a variety of choices - although the coffee could have been better. Sadly, this is where things began to fall apart. We left the hotel around 10am with the "Please do our room" sign on the door handle. We returned about 3 hours later to find it had not been done. With such a large hotel, we figured it would be complete later in the day. We then saw a housekeeping staff member and asked if they would do our room. They responded in the positive, and so left again and returned 4 hours later...with the sign still on the door, and the room not complete. We were in need of clean towels, and the bins were overflowing from the previous meals. We mentioned the room had not been serviced to reception. We were told towels would be brought to our room, and was offered no apology and no promise of the room being serviced anytime soon. 30 min later towels arrived, and we asked for bins to be emptied and we were then offered our room be serviced. We left for dinner, and yes, once we returned about 3 hours later the room had had a superficial service (only the top of the bed was made with the bottom sheet and mattress protector all crumpled up - we needed to remake it and surfaces had not been wiped over. Usually when checking out you are asked how your stay was, so I was prepared to give fair feedback, but the question wasn't asked, they seemed busy and so we left. We paid over $370 per night for a standard king room and was met with a fair amount of apathy from some of the staff. The room itself seemed clean, but the bathroom was in need of a good scrubbing. There was visible black mould in the shower (floor and wall), and behind the bathroom sink. We chose Rydges for reliability and this particular one for location...sadly it is unlikely we will ever stay at a Rydges again.

Ok I guess? location is a little off the tram but what got me was no room service for 3 days while we stayed, we did however leave our card on the door to clean. We have stayed at 4 star hotels previously but this one was just a let down. More like a 1-1 1/2 star. The pizza, kids burger and scrambled eggs and toast from room service wasnt that yummy, the pizza was bland with a bit of parmesan, the kids burger was a frozen meat patty. The scrambled eggs was just a loaf basically of previously scrambled eggs, the drizzle of olive oil with no butter was kinda sickening. The TV you cant put volume above 63 with some channels at even that you can't hear. The flooring for the carpet isn't even stapled in the corners in the room, the bathroom and tables in the room weren't wiped over, had no conditioner in the shower which we called and waited an hour for a half used bottle as the replacement. The aircon said 18 degrees (full blast) but felt more like 23 low fan. So in the afternoon it was quite hot in the room. Asked for more towels as we ran out 2nd night, waited 1 hour to receive. With the food, we were told to leave at our front door and also there is a $7 charge for each room service for plate removals. The food/rubbish we accumulated because there is a tiny bin in the room was out the front of the room for a good 45mins. Which we called in what should we do with it? No google chrome inbuilt for the TV's, no microwave, laundry is expensive. $3 to fold your shirt. The bedding was just a sheet, not fitted so we were basically sleeping on the mattress itself halfway through the night. Pool was not 26 degrees, more like 18 degrees. Really upset actually, excited to go home after this stay. You'd think a holiday away from home would be more relaxing but we all seemed to get more grumpier the longer we stayed.

We recently stayed at the ridges Central in Sydney. The entrance has both a ramp and stairs into the main foyer reception area. There is a large aquarium with fish in it in the floor of the aquarium. Which was something we have never seen before but quite interesting to walk on. The staff were very friendly reception. The only issue we had was we were not able to get the mini bar refilled with water. We ended up going to the 711 which is walking distance to buy additional bottles of water. The location is excellent and walking distance to both the 711, Woolworths Metro, the Sydney Central Railway station And the light rail. It is only two stops via train to the airport. Our room was excellent with a large bed, a small desk and a couch which gave us plenty of room to relax after attending a conference or being out seeing the sites of Sydney. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower and was well set out. There was no fan in the bathroom though which would have been useful. At the time we stayed the hotel had a program running if you didn’t get the room cleaned you could get a $10 credit towards food and drinks. At the time of checking out the reception staff we’re not aware how many days we have not had the room cleaned for. They do need a better system for tracking this. The hotel has a buffet breakfast option which you can purchase at reception for $25. The breakfast was incredible with a lot of choices and good value for money. The hotel has a gym which we did not use. It also has a pool, spa which we did use and was very good. There is a large step into the spa but it does have a rail on each side. There is also a sauna which we did not use. Accessibility into the pool area was difficult for someone with low vision and I require assistance to open the gate. We had room service for dinner several nights and this came from the Sydney brewery which is next door to the hotel. The food was excellent from the room service. The reception staff were happy to organise a taxi for us on the day we left. We found this hotel very accessible for my needs and a great location. I recommend this hotel for other people with no Vision or Blindness).

Stayed 1 mid week.night as it was close to St vincent's private hospital (7 mins) and value was fantastic as I got parking and breakfast for around 200. .My room 241 was spacious and clean.. Not sure about the frameless shower setup as you will make a mess without trying when you use the handheld shower head..Finally got decent pillows as it appears you get firmer and softer ones which was great. Mattress was super comfy. I Ran Aircon all night as i like the cold but really didnt feel that cold even on 20 so not sure about hot days. Breakfast options were fantastic and very tasty. You can even make you own fruit juices ( good selection with kale) which i havent seen before.. Didn't test transport and local amenities but all seems close based on other reviews. Staff were friendly..Parking is on site around corner from reception. Be careful when entering carpark as its a drop and turn with 2m height restriction bar and feels like a narrow entrance. I have small SUV so hats off to those drivers with large SUV and utes going into this carpark as i saw a few. Carpark bay at the front is great. Highly recommended and would definitely come again..
