Reviews for Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains

Fell Short on a Night That Mattered Most The accommodation was disappointing. The beds were clearly aged and the mattresses overused, leaving both my partner and I with back pain the next morning—not what you expect from a premium venue. Breakfast continued the trend. The buffet was basic at best, with limited options and an overcrowded dining area. Reserved tables only made the space feel more cramped. That said, the staff were outstanding—genuinely warm, efficient, and one team member in particular stood out, assisting us across multiple areas and offering thoughtful activity suggestions. Her service was a highlight. The whiskey bar was a pleasant contrast. Excellent service, a great selection, and a relaxed atmosphere. Saturday night’s live music featured a performer with a fantastic voice, though the slow tempo and genre made for a somewhat sleepy evening. Unfortunately, the restaurant experience was the biggest letdown—especially given the reason for our visit. I booked a week in advance, telling the team I planned to propose. They assured me they’d help make it special. We arrived dressed for the occasion, only to find patrons in activewear and Crocs, clashing with the venue’s supposed fine-dining image. I’d specifically requested a window table, yet we were seated at the back beside a busy walkway and swinging kitchen door. A glass-side table remained unoccupied throughout, but when I asked to move—pointing to the ring in my pocket and explaining the night’s significance—the manager refused, saying everyone asks. His attitude was dismissive and unaccommodating. We waited nearly an hour for food. Both steaks o ordered medium rare were overcooked—one dry and tough, the other barely edible. The sides were undercooked. While the waitstaff were kind and tried to make the best of it, the overall experience was poorly executed and deeply disappointing for such a meaningful occasion.

I organised for a personal touch and thankyou very much Elizabeth for all you help and assistance. My wife and sister in-law absolutely loved there stay, had amazing time. The room was stunning and the grounds are beautiful to walk around. They said the staff were so friendly, welcoming, happy & bubbly personality made it so much more inviting.

Stayed here for one night. Beautiful grounds, catering for all ages. Plenty of food options to suit most budgets, within the grounds of the resort. Walking trails of different grades starting from within the resort were convenient. Leura shopping mall is also close by, but the resort facilities are adequate to allow one to find plenty to do without venturing too far out. Rooms are spacious but could use a revamp. Breakfast was ample; try to get there early to get good seats near the windows which overlook the valley. Parking, although adequate within the grounds, have limited spaces near reception. Enjoyable, relaxing stay overall.

A great place for family to stay. The place is very nice, staff are very friendly and excellent customer service. Lots of fun things for the kids. Location is amazing! The kids loved staying at Fairmont. The room is average for the price paid. Could use a nice modern refresh to the very least. I have requested room service but only got fresh towels. Maybe there is not room service until you check out?! Not so sure as I may have not read things correctly. Breakfast buffet was average too. Overall, I love the atmosphere at Fairmont. I commend the staff with excellent customer service. An amazing place for the family to chill out.or the kids. Great atmosphere and excellent customer service.

My Mum and I had an amazing time. The staff make you feel very welcome. The resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Our dinner meal at Embers Grill restaurant was exceptional. The full hot and cold buffet breakfast was delicious at the Jamison's restaurant. The lady that work's at Lara's of Leura was really nice.
