We usual love this hotel. Great rooms. Great service (not so great room service) and we stay several nights a year. This time was different. There was construction near our room that had us awake very early. No one told us about the construction on check in and if I knew we would have asked for a room in a different location. It was a terrible night's sleep.

We travelled as a family of 4 to Sydney for a 2 night stay. We didnt access the airport, although majority of people staying were accessing the airport for flights. Our room was extremely affordable and just what we needed. We accessed the pool for our 9 and 11 year old children to have a swim. The location of the hotel was excellent with nearby public transport available, a spacious play area including a well maintained park, close by to supermarket and restaurants. Being an Accor member we ate buffet breakfast which was nice. I have to complement the staff that were working. I loved that there was a variety of nationalities, and any request was met with a smile and prompt service. We will definitely be back to stay again.

We recently held a work function at the Novotel Sydney International Airport and I was amazed at the helpfulness of the team. Hana, their Conference and Event Sales Exec was so easy to work with and went above and beyond in preparing for our event. I would definitely recommend using them for corporate functions / meetings.

Aircon unit in room sounded like the exhaust on a clothes dryer even at the lowest fan setting. Despite being set to 19 degrees room never got colder than 26 degrees. Noisy unit which you cannot turn off without pulling the card. 2 hours sleep was all I could manage in those circumstances. Swimming pool is situated in the opposite building which is a private residence. Only good for a dunk or for children. Only two lounges and a chair so first in first served. Staff were friendly and bar food was great.

We stay at the Novotel every time we fly overseas. The parking, check-in and check-out are seamless and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The only drawback is the food - there is a restaurant and bar food. Both could do with some attention. Food is expensive and just not that great. It's not terrible but I never find myself enjoying it much.
