I had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel recently, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Sam, who made the welcome process extraordinary. His genuine hospitality and warm conversation made me feel instantly at home. It was a truly touching interaction that set the tone for my entire stay. The hotel itself is a masterpiece of elegance and comfort. The beautifully designed building, with its stunning architecture, adds to the unique charm of the place. Every detail, from the cozy atmosphere to the meticulously crafted interiors, reflects a commitment to creating a haven for guests. However, it was Sam who truly elevated my experience. His attentiveness, kindness, and authentic connection with guests are rare qualities that made my stay incredibly special. It’s not often that you encounter someone who embodies the spirit of a hotel so perfectly, enhancing the overall impression of this already exceptional establishment. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. If you’re looking for a place where every moment feels thoughtfully curated and where you are welcomed not just as a guest but as a valued individual, this is the perfect choice. Thank you, Sam, for being the heart and soul of this beautiful hotel!

I would like to write a special thank you to the hotel staff for a lovely stay over the weekend. Everyone was friendly and attentive. A special thankyou to Leon who assisted me with my room move and Tiffany who was very helpful the entire stay. The dinner we booked for 2 at Mister Percy's we enjoyed the tasting menu for two and requested a fish /vegetarian option. The rooms are quite unique with a flare for art and colourful walls. I especially liked the high ceilings and the themes in each room I stayed. I recommend to get the upgrade if you want space in the room and to really experience the hotel/ Thank you for the lovely gift at arrival and card it really made me feel welcome as a member.

A great location to enjoy a few nights in the city, light rail stop is 2 minutes walk, and a great location to easily access Darling Harbour, China Town or the city. The Hotel is very well presented and clean throughout and the old Woolstore structure inside is really cool how they have included this into their architecture. Staff are always very friendly and helpful, has a great little restaurant and awesome bar for drinks before or after dinner. Room was very clean and well presented just like the whole Hotel, big comfy bed, a big freestanding bath and a separate rain shower. Our only regret was not enjoying Dinner in the restaurant, the food looked so good but we decided to dine at restaurant down on Darling Harbour which was a huge disappointment, don’t make the same mistake. I have stayed in quite a few hotels in the city at a similar price, but this is far the best to date and I will definitely be staying here next time we are in the city, couldn’t be more happier.

We stayed in the loft room which was beautiful. The basic room was very small. There are no views, however darling harbour is so close. The staff are attentive and there is so much character in this hotel. The breakfast was lovely, lots of choices. You have a 11am check out which i love and we got an early check in. The hotel was also spotless!

I’ll start with the positives: the room was fairly nice, the toiletries were good quality and we liked having dressing gowns. Now on to the negatives. This “5 star” hotel had some of the worst service I’ve experienced. We paid to have breakfast each day when we booked, but were very disappointed to find we just had a choice of 3 items (0 if you’re vegan, 2 if you’re vegetarian). It needs to be much clearer upon booking what the breakfast options are as we would never have added it on if we’d known how limited it would be. On the first morning we waited 45 minutes to receive 1 muesli and 1 eggs with toast. Another day we were twice brought out the wrong thing. On our third night we went to the bar for a pre-dinner drink and ordered one g&t and one whisky sour. The whisky sour was brought out 15 minutes after the first drink with no word of an apology. We were treated to the bar manager and chef swearing about another member of staff in full earshot of us though (Camilla, sorry girl!). No one greeted you when you came into the hotel after being out for the day, though reception was always manned and the lobby always quiet. We reported that the fan in our bathroom was broken and no one ever came to look at it. The bathroom is a wet room without a shower door/curtain so the whole room gets very wet including the towel rail. I would not recommend this hotel unless you’re going to the conference centre, the area really isn’t great for tourists. We won’t be back.
