Bungalow 8 absolutely delivered an unforgettable night — the live band was the highlight! From the moment they hit the stage, the energy in the place completely lifted. The musicians were incredibly talented, with tight vocals and great chemistry that kept the crowd dancing and singing along all night. It felt like a proper concert with an intimate, laid-back vibe. The band played a fantastic mix of hits — from funk and soul classics to upbeat pop and rock anthems — all with their own unique twist. You could tell they were seasoned performers who knew how to read the room and keep everyone engaged. They weren’t just playing music — they were putting on a show. The venue itself is perfect for live music. The sound quality was excellent, not too loud but powerful enough to make you feel immersed. And the waterfront location adds something really special — the views, the breeze, and the open-air vibe gave it that true Sydney nightlife feel. Add to that the friendly bar staff, solid drink selection, and good crowd, and it made for an epic night. Highly recommend catching a live set at Bungalow 8 if you're in the area — it's the kind of place that turns a casual evening into something memorable.

Loved the Humpty Doo Barramundi dish which served with a sort of chilled Japanese Noodle Salad, absolutely delicious. Tasted on my friend’s beer battered NZ Hokies fish and chip, real fresh fish!. Left here with a very well packed take away Angus Beef Burger which my man found it excellent! Much appreciated the staff’s fun vibe, friendly and quick service. Did come back the following day with my man for a repeated lunch treat. Still loved it as much

Such an improvement. The food is still delicious and a big difference in the service from staff. A lot more friendly and welcoming this time. Was very happy so have given an extra star for service and the food and the atmosphere. 😊👍 I have been here a couple of times now. The last time was a bit of a disappointment. I did have a great time, I was with a few friends and it was nice to catch up. I just felt like we were being pushed out the door because we were not ordering main meals. We were having appetisers and drinks. The waitress was not overly friendly and just kept asking if we wanted anything else. We just wanted to sit and catch up. It took away from the pleasure of being out. It was a weekend and very crowded but we were paying customers. We weren’t just taking up room and not purchasing anything. Otherwise, the other times I have been here have been very enjoyable. Food is always delicious 😋 and the staff are ordinarily friendly and attentive. Just this lad time has stopped me from going back. This is why I am only giving it 3 stars. It’s located right on King Street Wharf and is very Eas to get to by Ferry ⛴️, train 🚊 and buses 🚌 aren’t far away either. It has beautiful views over the water, looking across towards the Maritime Museum. It’s a short stroll up to the casino and in the opposite direction you have Cockle Bay Wharf. It really is in a stunning location. If you’re going on a weekend, expect it to be busy and noisy, you can’t get around that. It’s extremely popular. Thumbs Up!! 👍👍👍

There was no Sunday surcharge, so that was a good start. They have good quality Australian pub food. The fish is hokey in the fish and chips. The side salad had genuine olive oil dressing.. The bar taps are good enough and the service was great .

Nice place to eat on darling harbor. We strolled the whole line of restaurants and then picked here for the barramundi my husband wanted. I got the steak and fries. Both were quite good. Fries were well cooked and crispy, steak was cooked to perfection. Service was quick. You order and pay through your phone, so limited interaction with servers.
