Reviews for Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a balcony view of the wild life Sydney and the wharf. Lovely quiet hotel. Room not ready but we were slightly early and happy to wait. At 3.40pm I went to the desk to check on the status and was advised the room had been ready for sometime, unfortunately we were not advised as promised. Other than this one thing the staff were lovely and friendly and happy to do anything to help. Our flight was cancelled and they assisted to help us with an extra night and other things we needed. Flooring and rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment which I understand from the staff this is on the plans. Rooms have everything you need. Washer, dryer, oven, microwave and basic kitchen equipment. Pool was lovely inside/outdoors heated. Sauna not working. Gym also available. Cafe onsite gives guests 10% off and has lovely breakfasts. Keep an eye for daily specials at the cafe too. Would stay here again due to friendly staff and excellent location.

We stayed at Adina Apartments for 4 nights. The location was excellent. Walking distance to everything, including public transport. The apartment we stayed in was a two bedroom "interconnecting apartment " to accommodate our 2 children. Unfortunately, we realised quickly that it was not interconnecting it was a separate adjoining apartment connected by a private hallway. There was no access between the apartments. Our younger child, because of the configuration, refused to sleep in the adjoining apartment and ended up sleeping on the couch in our apartment. Something to be vary of for families with younger children. The apartment we had was tired and in need of a few touch ups however had a magnificent view of Darling Harbour. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again when visiting Sydney.

There were really only two positive things about this apartment hotel. Firstly, the location is excellent for easy walking to everything in the city including public transport and secondly, the double-glazed doors make it very quiet despite the close location to the surrounding busy roads. And that is where it ends... The rooms are very old, tired and dated. The floors are lumpy and wonky under smelly, old, worn and loose carpet - in the apartment as well as in the hallways. The TV is incredibly old and tiny as other reviews have mentioned - probably original. Our apartment was very musty smelling on our arrival at about 6pm and the balcony doors had been left open, presumably in an attempt to air out. This meant that about 20 mosquitos were now in the apartment and we spent the next 24 hours getting rid of them. The bed was very firm/hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was in bad condition with peeling silicon, etc around the bath/shower. And as other reviews have mentioned the bath is very high and wide making getting in and out challenging in the least. We were glad that neither of us are more than 6 feet tall because the ceiling was so low you could easily touch it while in the shower. Horrible place and I would not stay there again until it is completely renovated.

The apartment was adequate for our 8 night stay, but agree with many other reviews the rooms were very "tired " and in need of some maintenance. Kitchen facilities were OK and a bonus to have a washing machine and dryer but shower an issue with such a high bath to step over and no safety rail. Towels etc were changed daily. Desk staff were friendly. The location was perfect for the many Darling Harbour attractions and fabulous eateries.

The only advantage is the location of the hotel. The water in the bathroom does not drain, the water pressure in the shower is weak, the parking fee is outrageous. That's why 1 stars. After reporting a problem with the water drain at the reception, no one responded or fixed the problem. We slept here for two nights and imagine they didn't even change our towels or make the bed. This is unacceptable. This has never happened to us in a three star hotel.
