Reviews for The Tea Room QVB

The tea and dessert were enjoyable, but the service was mediocre. There was a fly buzzing around my sandwich, and when I pointed it out to the waitress, she simply said she didn't know how it got there since there were no open windows. Unfortunately, she did not take any action to address the issue, which really ruined my appetite. Additionally, the tea cup was not properly cleaned; it had tea stains on it. With a little more effort, those marks shouldn’t have been there. Overall, it was a nice afternoon tea in a lovely location at the Queen Victoria Building.

We had the most beautiful amazing night at the Tea room. It’s our wedding reception. During the planning process, Arabella provided extraordinary support to us. She always replied so promptly. Sometimes I sent out adjustments and inquiries at night. When I checked my phone at 9am in the next morning, she has already replied. She is so well organized and coordinated with all the suppliers for loading. Akshire (sorry I don’t know how to spell his name) was so helpful during the reception. He saved two cocktails and brought us lots of food because my husband said he’s hungry. We will definitely come back to enjoy the high tea.

Had our wedding here and it was amazing! The staff were wonderful - Arabella and Carol helped us greatly with planning. On the day Akshay was brilliant as the functions manager and the food was delicious, thanks to Andres. Room was beautiful and everyone made it super special. You cannot go wrong for a stunning wedding reception.

WOW 🤩 A truly amazing venue to visit on level 3 of the QVB . Brilliant throughout although the restrooms are a fair distance down the hallway but who can complain about such a stunning architectural masterpiece. Waiting staff & catering was par excellence & you must visit this unique location at least once or many more times !

On arrival at least 3 staff ignored us before the front of house man pointed for us to join other patrons awkwardly waiting on a bench. At seating I silently handed our waitress the used napkin on my seat. I brought my mum and son for their joint birthday and was horrified when the menus in front of each of us boldly displayed how much I was paying. A simple list of teas would have been suffice thanks. Whilst the food and service were generally acceptable, the small cup-and-a-half teapots seemed stingy. The room is impressive at first, although signs of wear and tear are evident not only on the walls and furniture but some of the china should probably be retired. Finally, as I had pre-booked two birthday cakes it was a bit baffling as to why one came out 10 minutes after the other.
